Diana X (us) wrote: I thought this movie was amazing! It felt like they combined some elements from a few other movies, but they did it in such a way that it only made the movie better! I thought the acting was great and the story/plot line was definitely interesting. The screenplay was great. This movie was funny and serious, great action scenes. It did feel like it could have been a TV series (but I don't see that as a bad thing), but I think they did a great job of leaving themselves room to continue the story in any number of ways. I really hope they make more. This is definitely a movie that I will buy for my personal collection!
Brian M (fr) wrote: This a an excellent character study that is paced perfectly. The ending is very original and gives the movie its "wow" factor.
Gillian H (kr) wrote: It was an ok movie. The beginning was really confusing and I got bored easily because of the mediocre acting, but Aubrey Plaza quickly changed that. Aubrey Plaza was a realistic zombie (surprisingly.) Anna Kendrick was in this movie, which was a surprise to me, but she had the role of a goofy girl with very few weird lines. The romantic scenes between Aubrey and Dane were kind of awkward and forced looking, but I have to say that Aubrey did turn the movie from a 1 to a 3.
Eric B (es) wrote: Freda Kelly was the Beatles' secretary. A shy, humble girl who's admirably loyal to the band's privacy. Hence, this documentary is deadly uneventful. Even at just 86 minutes, the film seems too long, and Kelly's endless shrugs, giggles and blushes soon turn tedious. The stress on soundbites from forgotten Merseybeat musicians over thoughts from, say, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr and George Martin is another glaring problem. The score cuts corners by featuring just a handful of Beatles songs and filling the void with earlier songs that the group covered.

John D (ca) wrote: Ambitious but flawed historical flick supposedly takes liberties with the facts (though I'm not historian enough to know the exact details) and goes over the top at times, yet still manages to impress and inspire by dealing with thought provoking themes. Was suprised to learn Tim Robbins also wrote this. Check out Bill Murray trying to teach Tenacious D how to ventriliquize.
Matthew M (jp) wrote: At first you try to understand this movie and the story behind it. Honestly though I gave up on it. Though I really enjoy Rutger Hauer this movie failed for me on a story sense. It just felt weak and it did not make much sense. The fight scene was pretty random and I felt kind of cheated. Overall, I think something could have been done to make this a lot better.

Sammy B (gb) wrote: I am now dumber for watching this movie. Groovy tunes in it though PLUS a young Rob Schnider.
Alex S (es) wrote: Brilliant cult film, a good mix of sci-fi, punk, action and humour.

Tiberio S (au) wrote: Lost somewhere between realism and neorealism, this film focuses on attempted socialist leader Ntoni facing the insuperable force of a fascist-loving business owner who controls every fisherman's salary in Trezza, no matter what their output is.The film has us experiencing long drawn out shots, moments of quiet, which typically I enjoy in a film with better cinematography. As many great tracking and dolly shots as there are, the film has trouble with exposure, often right on the edge of complete underexposure.
