Sandra M (gb) wrote: Kids and I have been itching for the sequel after watching the remake of Flowers in the Attic a couple of months ago and Petals didn't disappoint. A nice balance of incest and crazy but still recommend they read the books. My daughter thought the Grandmother was awesome in the movie, in the books she scared me half to death.

Morgan K (it) wrote: Very impressive performance by Stewart!!! Really enjoyed this one!

Gastro D (fr) wrote: This was better than what I had in mind. It's a unique horror/suspense film with gore that didn't mimic a budget scream flick. There were some tacky moments like the boy "ghost" appearing and omitting black odor of some sort. The CG didn't quite look that great. The ending was a bit predictable but leaves you wondering why and how. Overall a good film worth the watch...

Neil R (ru) wrote: A kind of cinematic theme and variations on the book of Ecclesiastes, existentialism and hedonistic pragmatism. It tries and partly succeeds to be a funny, ideas film in the classic Woody Allen mould of an older misanthropic smart guy with a younger ditzy girl. The dialogue is zippy and witty but the film's amorality stops being satirical and becomes just straight commentary on how permissive everything has become in today's world. As is seen in the film's poster, the philosophy at its heart is kind of a big shrug. In the face of ultimate despair, you've just got to grab whatever happiness you can. It's a denial of immortality, cosmic justice or God, but at least it tries to say something.

Francis L (de) wrote: Brilliant!!! Awesome!!! Amazing!!! Words cannot desribe how much I loved this movie. Well portyaryed of how the Chinese goverment is going though. Just wished that Van Der Beek would had picked up/spoke chinese... I loved the fact he could use a chopstick well. James played a great role... I would hope he would get a breakout role like the next joker for the batman/dark knight series. he deserves it. everyone else in the movie was really good.

Peter D (mx) wrote: What makes this movie fail, is that there is no development whatsoever with its characters. While having a somewhat interesting plot and a standard script, there is no spark ignited by anything this movie tries to do. Nothing feels memorable and the characters are so forgettable, you cant even name them after they are dead. "Who was this guy again?" It doesnt matter. The film also tries to have subtle moments by interjecting some dark humor, but sadly, it isn't funny or witty.

Parker R (mx) wrote: A dull, heavily watered down horror flick that never delivers any real scares and will consistently test the viewers attention span.

Henry T (ca) wrote: It would appear that the critics have no imagination. This wonderfully inventive movie shows us quite effectively what it was like to live in Argentina during the military dictatorship. The horrors of the dictatorship are brought to us through the eyes of Mr. Banderas's character. It is not, as some of the "critics" stated, "magical realism". It is a red thread of narrative that puts you, the viewer, in Argentina during the terror, seeing through the eyes of an innocent citizen. Very highly recommended. Critics failed on this one. And, Ruben Blades looking middle aged! (playing the a-political technical director)Henry in Missouri

Adam S (gb) wrote: While it is not as good as the other 2, it has its camp charm. It does not try to be anything great. It just Tropes at its finest. The small town team beating up on the big bully from down the block. A few jokes, cheesy special effects, and bad quotes. If you go into it expecting just silly fun you will be more then happy with it. If you expecting something like the First one. You will be disapointed. Its biggest fault is that they try and include it in Major League. It more like Sandlot.

Chris S (gb) wrote: Do you know who's the true villain in this film? No, not Robert Mitchum. It's the youngest son, letting his older brothers hunt the beast by themselves, pretending to be all shy and passive, pretending to care for his brothers when he finds out they have passed away, and planning everything all along just so he can kill the beast himself and prove himself. Look at that demonic smile he makes at the end. Haha. But honestly, this film is overly conservative and over-the-top melodramatic shite.

Alex S (us) wrote: What an amazing movie experience! Not only a great production, a road movie for the entire family, a touchy, uplifting story about friendship, faith and hope overcoming huge struggles. I served in Africa and learned to love that people so much, the movie was like a blast from the past, a time travel that let me saw and remember how strong are the people and missionaries from that great continent. Great score, impeccable cinematography and a magnificent cast makes this movie exceptional specially for translating a small piece of Africa to the screen!

Darrin C (it) wrote: Maybe it's because I didn't relate to it or because I don't care for Mid-East cultural references, but this was one of the worst Sandler films I've ever seen and that's saying a lot since all of his movies in the last 10 years have been the same tired story with different characters attached to them. Lame.
