Somehow this film generally is overlooked. Maybe as it's not your typical slice of a Hollywood film. My advice to all. WATCH IT. (Just be aware of young ears around you before viewing).

It can be said this is a good representation of teenage life and sexual identity. The acting for the most part was quite good albeit a tad rigid. The story itself interesting enough. The problem I felt with the script was that there wasn't enough character development between the two female leads. Each relationship was presented at a surface level so I didn't see any real connection between the two girls. Whilst the character Elin is questioning her sexuality and its implication on her life in a small town a lot of screen time is wasted on her indecision. At times a sweet film the characters are quite fresh and being a Swedish film offers an alternative to the mainstream American films of a similar storyline.

It's totally unabashed, it's fun, over the top, zany and a blueprint for Zemecki's later, much more noteworthy work, but still, it's a joyful experience, of a nave time in cinema, long since lost.
