. . I cannot decide whether the monotonous, guttural Georgian voiceover improves or spoils it . A huge influence on my music, too. Utterly bizarre, almost incomprehensible, beautiful, yet a superb piece of high camp at the same time

Nice actors. Not a good story. Too much discussion. The movie is called "About Alex" but seems like it is not really about Alex

I like it,but at the same time this film fails to live up to the best of it's ability with a dream team

Also, it comes with an intentional watermark on it, which is one of the most bizarre directorial choices I have ever seen. I love Lars von Trier, but this is a chore to watch, and it feels like an accomplishment if you can stay conscious. There are a handful of interesting ideas sprinkled throughout, but none of them go anywhere, save the ending, which does somewhat redeem the movie, but only slightly. It is painfully boring at nearly every single turn; it is almost amazing to see how little there actually is here. Speaking as somebody who has occasionally dabbled in writing, and speaking as someone who has just sat down and watched this film, I can tell you on two accounts: the writing process just isn't that interesting to watch. This is Lars von Trier at his most inaccessible, and it ends up feeling a lot like a student art film. It??s divided about 90-10 in favor of the latter. Epidemic is two movies: one is a doctor in Europe trying to treat the plague, and the other is the two writers of that story, Lars von Trier and Niels Vorsel (playing themselves), writing the screenplay of that movie. I can fully appreciate the writing process without spending 100 minutes watching it

nd then, it's magic, and Mastroianni is sublime {as always}. it is ot my favoutire, but it is great in the way subverts Italian addiction to Television during the 80s

This is why I like indie horrors. Wonderfully creepy, and a brilliant concept, well-executed

The Runaways rocked and I salute you Sandy West, rest in peace. I think the time is right, the movie "The Runaways" is out and a documentary could be a good complement. If you have an interest in The Runaways, I think you should see "Edgeplay", but the band deserves a really really good 2 hour documentary on them. We also get to meet Kim Fowley, a true "character" and the manager the first years. On the plus side is of course the possibility to meet most of The Runaways and hear how they experienced those year. Same goes for the editing and the general shooting of the movie, which should have been done in a more professional manner. This is of course a big issue, and "Edgeplay" feels slighlty tilted and not balanced therefore. Here we get to meet everyone except Joan Jett, because she didnt give her blessing for this documentary and thus she also stopped them from using most footage and music from The Runaways. The original band consisted of Cherie Currie, Joan Jett, Lita Ford, Sandy West and Jackie Fox. Most likely because they were groundbreaking and people just didnt get it. I still dont understand why they didnt break much bigger than they did. "Edgeplay" is a documentary (directed by Vicky Blue, former The Runaways member) about the great 70s all female rock n roll band The Runaways
