(mx) wrote: Feast 3 is the rare film in a horror franchise that can successfully close a franchise. Brilliantly fun and gory, this film continues what the first two started. This is a good way to end the series, and it still has everything that has made the franchise so original. Although the acting is never anything great, the cast are pretty good here and the film is lots of fun for Feast fans. This film like all the others is for a specific audience. I very much enjoyed this film, and I thought it had a good blend of comedy, gore horror and action. This is a mindless horror yarn that definitely knows how to push the boundaries of grossness. This film is a must see for gore fans who want a mindless and crazy monster film. John Gulager directs a very good third entry in his Feast trilogy and it still has enough good things to deliver for the audience. Go into this with an open mind, expect the same thing you expecting watching the first two films, and you won't be disappointed. This series is meant to be lots of fun, and Gulager most certainly does that. This is a good film for what it is, and it definitely is a must see if you're looking for a mindless time waster. This one may lack an effective story, like all the others, it's a fun film with loads of gore and plenty of gross out moments to satisfy its target audience. This is a third good entry in the franchise, and it still has everything you'd expect from the series. This is a memorable film, one that is just as crazy and fun as the other two. Sit back and enjoy this third entry in the series and watch these monsters wreak havoc once more.

(es) wrote: This has to be a contender for one of the worst films of all time. First of all the film doesn't make sense. My guess is the screenwriter is a monkey or maybe another member of the animal kingdom. There are more holes in the story than a pound of baby swiss. I mean, come on, where do these monsters come from and who are they? In the film they never explain. The only thing in the film worse then the screenplay is the acting. Well, the little boy, Jesse James, is actually not bad, but the guy, Kevin Zeggers, who plays his older brother sucks. The actress who plays his girlfriend gives an even more terrible performance. One could speculate that the only thing more painful than this film is castration with a rusty fishing knife, but even that is debatable. Did I mention the ending? The ending is one of the most clichd pieces of crap I've ever experienced in my life. What happened to creativity? Most independent films I've seen don't have the money for big visual effects, so they make up for it with original writing and plot twists. Nope, 'Fear of the Dark' is about as original as a plagiarized term paper. 'Fear of the Dark' is the kind of movie that when completed, would make you feel relieved to get back to studying for an Organic Chemistry final. There's only one positive aspect about this film, once I think long and hard about it -- at least it's better then Miss Congeniality 2. Grade: F

(ru) wrote: Not a bad exploration of one man's fight to try to fix the penal system. Henry Brubaker is assigned to a tough and worn prison (he finds out the atrocities first hand by sneaking in as a prisoner!) but is soon, yes, faced with political challenges and even from the prisoners themselves. It's an uphill battle, and while this is somewhat predictable, Redford is always interesting to watch.

(ag) wrote: This is one of those films that, the more I watched it, the more I like it. Aside from some of its cheesiest dialogue and over the top performances. I did dig the story a lot. It has a very dark tone element into it with this very dark fantasy. The story is about the legend of King Arthur and the knights of the Round Table, a Merlin legend which tells the life story of King Arthur and his Excalibur. And two of my favorite stars are here, the young Liam Neeson as Gawain and Helen Mirren as Morgana. I never thought Archeptolemus from the film Troy (2004) is the King Arthur (Nigel Terry) I thought he was fantastic in this film. And Cherie Lunghi as Guenevere, I thought she is one hot Queen. John Boorman, known as a narrative director in terms of film making. I like how he turned this one into a very dark but beautifully filmed movie. I can still remember the beautiful film locations, the beautiful forests, the huge castle and its lakes, the swampy areas, and the visually stunning landscapes. It has a great production value over all. Those swords and those elegant armors. Another fantastic epic that we will never forget. 4/5
