Franky M (br) wrote: it is actually better than i thought. not comparing with the original one, it's quite nice as itself. but i doubt if any ordinary guy would go that far to save someone he doesn't know. anyway, it does create an tension between scenes.but Barbie is no good as a mother role. can't see that in her.

Tim W (jp) wrote: I might be the only one in the world who didn't really like it. Sure as a young kid I enjoyed it, but then I grew up and stopped caring as much. A simple story of a deer growing up and living life; with it's highs and lows. And they anthropomorphized the animals just enough and in the right was to make them and the stories relate-able to the audience. It was cute (sometimes too cute for me), surrounded by nature and great animation.

Jamie C (de) wrote: Enjoyed it more than I thought, A little slow in places but picks up abit, Not a must see but worth a watch, Not a new story but the found footage effect works better than it would of if it was just a normal shot film.

Naomi G (us) wrote: Before Hollywood started its campaign with movies like Deliverance, presidents from the south were Truman, Johnson, and Carter. By the time Hollywood was through, the south gave the nation presidents like Bill Clinton and not one but two George Bushs plus totalitarian fascists like Newt Gingrichand Jesse Helms. Deliverance is the implausible story of a group of men taking a raft ride down a river in the deep south and being accosted every step of the way by the locals. Natives of the backwoods south are portrayed as inbred simpletons whose violent natures are beyond any sort of restraint. None of the protagonists give any thought of contacting local authorities, who can only be assumed to be "libs" in cahoots with the "good old boys." Of course being on a raft on a river in the woods isn't any excuse, surely there is some house near the river with a telephone? No Hollywood tells us, everyone is a mass murderer who is armed to the teeth.

Seraphic W (ca) wrote: Pacino? Sublime. Hunter? Exquisite. Messina? Powerful. The premise? Full of potential. The symbolism? Scathing.I vote we keep everything as is and let someone like Gan Bi, Almodovar or, hell, even go all Hollywood and gamble on Steven Knight to direct it. I bet my right dogtooth we'd be left with a mesmerizing, anthropocentric masterpiece on fear, loss, love, regret, change.Unfortunately, as it stands... aaahh, what a freaking waste.

peter m (es) wrote: Wonderful! Scottish film making at it's best. Didn't stop smiling till I woke up the following morning and realised I had to go to work. Maybe best not to take your Grannie along bust this is a genuine feel good movie. It sort of "Gregory's Girl" for grown-ups.
