Heather M (fr) wrote: This movie takes a different approach to the serial killer story. I had no idea that someone actually got it into their heads to get personal with such a twisted and dangerous individual. The actors were great in their roles and Forsythe was truly disturbing as Gacy.

Adam D (fr) wrote: Not *too* bad for a low-budget B-movie. Not great, not memorable, but a half decent evening's entertainment

Grant S (au) wrote: Half-decent attempt at the classic story. Fairly intense and edgy. Missed a few opportunities though and ended up looking like an average horror movie in the end.Decent performances.

Alex N (au) wrote: When I first started watching this western, I was expecting a comedy along the lines of the Trinity movies, and I was disappointed. The second time I decided to start watching the movie, I watched it without that misconception, thinking of it as an adventure film instead, and it was much better than I thought before. There is a fair amount of huimor here, but it comes from the movie's light tone and the way the lines are delivered, and occasionally from the witty script, rather than the all-out slapstick comedy of They Call Me Trinity or the Three Stooges. Companeros is a fun, exciting movie, and it has one of my favorite soundtracks by Ennio Morricone. I don't think it's as good as For a Few Dollars More, or The Good, the Bad and the Ugly, but it's not far down from them. It emphasizes fun and action over the style and beauty of Leone's movies. One of the best Italian westerns I've seen.

Nolan M (ag) wrote: Michel Gondry is a very impressive filmmaker with great styles. I loved Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and I love this film too. The movie was very funny with the spoofs of Driving Miss Daisy, Ghostbusters, and Rush Hour 2. Can't wait for the Blu-ray.

David L (es) wrote: Given the high critics praise this had previously received, I desperately endeavoured to see this one through to the end, but struggled immensely. I'm all for lengthy battle films, movies set at sea, and historical scripts, but this was just hard going. First and foremost, there were so many cast members, who looked the same and dressed the same, and when one of them died early on, I had no idea who it actually was. When the battles between the British and French also occurred, there was no way of knowing who was who either as both sides appeared to be dressed in blue. The dialogue between the shipmates was occasionally interesting, but I felt it was all leading up to the fight scenes, which never truly lived up to expectation. Granted that if this was to be based upon events surrounding the Napoleonic Wars, then historians won't appreciate the facts being incorrect, but if reality dictates that nothing of great interest ensued, why make the movie in the first place? Well acted, but impossible to comprehend the tale in what was such a dark background setting. I imagine I am also hindered by my lack of wartime knowledge, meaning character names are of no assistance to me in following this story. All in all, this has clearly been a masterpiece to some intellects, but unfortunately a commoner like me just drowned at sea.

GeneAllen M (de) wrote: A little cheesy, and at the end of the Pimp My Ride Era, it fulfilled the cool cars and weapons quota we looked for in the early 2000's. Ice cube, and the movie would've looked better if a different director had control. Then they mention Xander Cage...
