Eric A (mx) wrote: Etrange mlange: les destins d'une compagnie de soldats franais se mle celui d'une jeune femme marchant travers la campagne du nord de la France!

Phil T (us) wrote: While you can certainly agree with the fierce competitive nature of these two brothers, the way they actually go around and compete in these games is nothing more than stupid and affects all involved. Still, the obvious ending did make it an enjoyable couple of hours.

Jack N (gb) wrote: This movie was full of 'funny ha-ha' to keep you going. The characters were interesting and likable despite their faults. Very nice coming of age movie even though the coming age is 40. However the last 15-20 minutes fell a little flat for me. Its as if the plot, writing and the acting just gave out. Despite that I would still recommend the movie because it is entertaining and I'm a little partial to DB Sweeney.

Simon D (au) wrote: It's a decent film but quite overrated I reckon. The oscar win for Geoffrey Rush having only been in maximum half the film, is a bit stupid, and I wonder if this set the trend for the actors queuing up to play characters with disabilities or afflictions, always an easy oscar.

Neil R (es) wrote: Only a TV movie but anyone who likes 50's rockabilly will love this.

Kenny N (ca) wrote: "A Christmas Carol" is an oft told tale. One of my personal favorites, and one that I revisit every holiday season. But it's never been told like this before! Bill Murray, as always, is a twisted comedy genius. Bobcat Goldthwait FINALLY has a major role in a film he can be proud of, and Carol Kane's performance as the Ghost of Christmas Present has got to be seen to be believed. Watch this movie any time of the year. Yule love it!

Emil P (it) wrote: They messed it up. Even Peter O'Toole couldn't fix it. Daryl Hannah was gorgeous though.

Private U (ag) wrote: For my money, the best of the Blind Dead series. SPOILER The idea of the villagers having to make human sacrifices to the Templars was a masterstroke.

Jamie B (ag) wrote: Excellent western. Classic story of Union and Confederate soldiers uniting against Native Indians who have been up to mischief. Great direction as usual by Peckinpah. Heston, Coburn, Harris, Johnson and Oates - what a cast!!!

Amanda C (gb) wrote: I'm giving this high marks despite the sometimes clich script because of so many things. For starters it is my favourite Sophia Loren film and it is for those who love fun, innocent trifles about Americans going to European countries with monarchies and doing zany things. The costumes, sets, lighting and postcard beautiful photography are largely down to the legendary George Hoyningen-Huene and were executed by Ella Bei of the Knize fashion house. These costumes are unrivalled in detail and beauty and seeing some of them on the flawless and quintessential hourglass figure of Sophia Loren is dazzling. Angela Lansbury and Isabel Jeans are magnificent and of course Chevalier. Once again it is my most favourite Sophia film and in my top ten so it has a very special place in my heart.
