Jessica R (us) wrote: Pretty good, though, as others have already pointed out, not entirely accurate. It's nice seeing drugs portrayed in this way, rather than as solely a "let's get fucked up" sort of thing.

Jordan K (ru) wrote: Continuing my Christmas review-a-thon, I learned this holiday season that Snow Day blows harder than a snowblower. It's an overused and frankly eye rolling piece of work that I probably would have liked more when I was younger. The lie that "anything can happen on a snow day" spirals out of proportion when a teen loser gets the girl of his dreams, his younger sister conquers the grimey snow plow man played by the poor man's Daniel Stern, and Chevy Chase makes another regret playing the main character's father and a bumbling weatherman. Snow Day is a big slap in the face to any true childhood anxiety...By the poster, I expected something like Home Alone and figured that Chevy and Elliott were bumbling bad guys, but something at least a little more tolerable took place. The film is at least interesting with its plot at best, but noticably bad child acting and ridiculous over the top teen drama overshadows the awfulness that is Snow Day. Having been a big Nickelodeon fan as a kid, I was familiar with Snow Day but never saw it until now, what a waste of time it is. I can't remember anything funny, but nothing dull - a time waster that is ironically perfect for a snow day.

Lee M (fr) wrote: That this film continues to attract an audience all these years later is not surprising. The story it tells is as relevant today as it was back in 1970 and today perhaps has the ability to reach a broader audience in a way, one that can see the levels of nuance and hypocrisy found in the plot.
