Although the second half, apart from fantastic ending, is not quite on par with the first half, this is still one of the finest animated movies of the year, a film that is always charming and endearing, but also incredibly original and realistic. It is an adventurous and enchanting tale, an ambitious experiment done right and a proof how animated films can be authentic and artistic these days if approached creatively.

(gb) wrote: At first I thought I wasn't going to like it, with the self pitying main character, inconsiderate roommate, and asshole barista, and while it's certainly not an award winner, I really did enjoy it. Hot guys and a dumb but fun, heart-warming story.
(it) wrote: Not as good as I hoped but it was still funny and the film had a lot of laugh out laude moments which is good

(es) wrote: Very good movie, well acted, i know some have said Moore was terrible and annoying but that is what her character is supposed to be like in this film. The movie keeps you guessing until the very end. I highly recommend you watch this film!
(es) wrote: On the bright side this movie did have it's share of plot mystery for a big romantic payoff at the end. Things felt rather formulaic throughout the film and you could pretty much see how it was going to end. Regardless this was a touching movie and a good stay at home movie because man is it always raining in Seoul or is it just me??? You'll understand after seeing the film...
(au) wrote: It's a great horror film but unfortunately nothing more. Maybe because it's too fast paced (despite it's length) maybe it's the acting or even directing but for someof these reasons it lacks depth. Though of course watching it in a cinema while being 9 years old was fucking shock.
(gb) wrote: oh dear, terrible script, zero chemistry, most acting is cringe-worthy with the exception of Michael Rispoli. Michael Vartan looks pale and daggy! Disappointed.
(mx) wrote: gets the 4 stasrs because of the martial arts. the story is the bog standard loner comes home to help/avenge a friend. speakman does teh honours with his feet, fists and weapons. sadly for speakman while he is a good fighter he doesn't have that something else that makes him a "star". only for fight fans.
(au) wrote: The worst thing about soft-core, sexploitation film Maniac Nurses Find Ecstasy isn't the wooden acting, the awful '90's synth and guitar soundtrack, or creepy narration--it's the false advertising! According to Netflix, Maniac Nurses Find Ecstasy is about sex-crazed nurses who, "lure unsuspecting men to their remote hospital and subject them to various surgical tortures" and a young girl, Sabrina, who "falls victim to a feminist slave ring -- and learns she's expected to play a pivotal role in their plan for world domination". Militant lesbian feminist nurses who surgically torture men and want to take over the world? Sounds like a movie I can get behind! The only problem is...NONE OF THAT HAPPENS.First of all, the nurses are not militant feminists. Secondly, as far as I could tell, they had no plans for world domination. Third, not a single man is lured to the hospital and surgically tortured. What a rip-off! Instead, we get to endure over an hour of "nurses" walking around in the woods in 1990's era lingerie, toting guns. Once in a while, they randomly kill people. The end. That's the plot. Oh, and if you think lingerie-clad, gun-toting killer women sounds sexy, don't be fooled! Somehow, Maniac Nurses Find Ecstasy manages to turn one of the most obvious pornographic stereotypes--the sexy nurse--into a complete snooze fest. Maniac Nurses Find Ecstasy gets 1 and 1/2 stars because it was so hilariously awful, it amused me. However, it could have been far more amusing if it had actually had the plot that Netflix promised. Lame.
(kr) wrote: yes, it IS possible to make a classic must-see comedy about tax investigators! or rather, a particular freckled investigator whose shrewd observations and dogged pursuit of tax evaders made me glued to my seat throughout the film.
