Indu R (us) wrote: The reboot was not as good as the original. The action and fight scenes were the only things good about this movie.

William S (es) wrote: good acting, but the effects are really bad, like embarrassing bad.

Jens T (ca) wrote: The multi-talented artist Vincent Gallo is known for his felibilty between different art forms such as music and films, both when it comes to composing, writing and performing. But he will always be best remembered for his indie classic Buffalo 66' which he directed, wrote and starred in. And it's also set in his own home town, Buffalo, New York. Buffalo '66 is the story about Billy Brown (Gallo) who returns to his home town, Buffalo after spending five years in prison for a crime he didn't commit. All that time he has lied to his parents (Anjelica Huston and Ben Gazzara) that he worked for the government and was married. But Billy kidnaps the first and best girl, a dancer named Layla (Christina Ricci) who must pretend to be his wife. But when we finally meets his parents it's certainly a shock to see how little they care about anything but football. They hardly remember anything about their son.Buffalo '66 is a good melancholic indie film, with its small time post Reagan America. Gallo give us a great performance and a great character, a realistic haunted irritating individual. Christina Ricci character, Layla is more interesting because while we know so much about Billy, we don't know anything about Layla. And it's also the fact that Billy often treats her like dirt, but no matter how cruel he is Layla sticks by him, she's probably got a tough life of her own.The most surreal thing about this film is Billy's parents and how apathetic they are towards anything but football, specially his mother, who gave birth to Billy the day the local football team Buffalo Bill lost the Super Bowl of 1966. And she often says that it's Billy's fault for being born that day.

Carl N (jp) wrote: Not as good as the original but Radu is still one of the best movie vampires. We learn more about him in this film, we even get to meet his mummy. The prospect of being alone throughout eternity terrifies him. So he needs Michelle as much for company as any sexual desires he may harbour. This movie has all the classic horror appeal of the old Hammer films full of unique atmosphere if not a little light on story. Added to the mix this time is Michelle??s sister Portrayed by William Shatner's daughter Melanie. All in all a satisfying edition to the Subspecies franchise. With a nice cliff-hanger climax.

John S (au) wrote: Hokey, stupid, fun! Captures much of the TV series goodness. Great for those of us if a certain age ...

Phillip D (ag) wrote: Less formulaic than I expected and the cinematography is just gorgeous.

Jerry B (gb) wrote: If you like old movies with an old fashion religious theme, then this is a must see. Got it on good old VHS tape, haven't seen it on DVD yet. Up there with Holiday Inn.

Renee L (ru) wrote: A tribute to the beauty of Mother Australia and her daughters. There is lots of fetish here: shoe buckles, ribbons, a lacy camisole, corset strings, stockings. Seductive without being sexy... these items and the women wearing them are a beautiful contrast to the rough, stark beauty of the titular rock. Young women, tied up by clothing and propriety - who doesn't love a girls' boarding school movie? - undress a bit and unleash cosmic and natural forces which cannot help but devour them whole.

Yash B (it) wrote: The one in the series that is worth seeing for all ages. A great adventure full of laughs and is a great time. Very clever and enjoyable.

Philip P (it) wrote: It's fine for what it is, probably not for everybody though. If you enjoyed Linklater movies like slacker or dazed and confused this movie will be right up your alley.Interesting slice of life piece told from a certain perspective.
