Usman N (nl) wrote: A gr8 story and brilliant star combination.

Angela Z (kr) wrote: To many plot holes and mistakes.

Carlos M (gb) wrote: Fassbinder uses a personal loss as starting point for another depressing story about exploitation that doesn't dare offer any easy answers, even though the result this time feels also arbitrary, with his usual cold, detached approach leaving little room for empathy.

Orlok W (au) wrote: butcher knives, bratty kids, and creepy masks--A sterling example of the genre!!

Eric B (ca) wrote: If you've seen one, you've seen the rest. Each movie in the series follows the same formula. In the hands of a better director and a better producer, this could've been a classic. But all the defects of Japanese cinema are present, the theatrical acting, the wooden dialogue, the exaggerated reactions, I hate them. This is a series in need of a modern remake.

Anne F (gb) wrote: It's the performances of Alec Guinness as Charles I and Richard Harris as Oliver Cromwell that make this film worth watching. Historically inaccurate and much too sympathetic to Oliver Cromwell, and the battle scenes which are much admired by other reviewers were fast-forwarded by me.

Eric B (ru) wrote: A great opening sequence, some good jokes.

Di P (mx) wrote: A few funny parts and that's about it.
