Dustin P (br) wrote: Absolutely fantastic! I saw this in 3D at the theater before Frozen and loved it. It's basically a love-letter to classic Mickey Mouse cartoons (probably around the 1920's era or so). I grew up on some of these cartoons like "The Skeleton Dance" and "Mickey's Haunted House", so this was nostalgic for me. However, at the same time it was so creative with the 3D element that I'm positive I would have loved it even if I had never seen any of those classic cartoons. I'd imagine it loses a little bit if you were to watch it in 2D. I don't know if you can even find it in 3D on home video (at least in the USA anyway), but if you can find it in 3D, watch it! It's awesome!
Zac E (nl) wrote: Superman is almost the source of controversy currently, with films like Man of Steel bringing up modest reviews and Batman v. Superman showing a cluttered mess. There are, however, good Superman movies. All Star Superman is no acceptation. Based on the 12 issue story of the same name, Superman is faced with many challenges before he dies. Some of these challenges include answering the impossible question to fighting Lex Luthor what has all of his powers. It shows the growth of a character that needs to be shown and more aware to the general public. If you haven't see this movie, you are defiantly missing out.

Rick R (au) wrote: Song of the Thin Man (1947)This is the sixth and last of the Thin Man series of mysteries and it's a little more noir than previous movies; perhaps a sign of the times. Nick (William Powell) and Nora (Myrna Loy) are really showing their age. Little Nicky Jr., played by a very young Dean Stockwell was great. You could tell that he has his father's knack for sleuthing out clues.A bad-tempered big band leader, Tommy Drake (Phillip Reed) has a nasty habit of making people angry at him. He stole his clarinet player's (Buddy Hollis played by Don Taylor) girlfriend, the band singer, Fran Page (Gloria Grahame) away from him, driving him to drink, or a little bit crazy. Then, he proceeds to throw her over for what ever other girls comes around.Tommy, pisses off the ship's casino owner, Phil Brant (Bruce Cowling) by leaving before his contract is up. He also owes 12G's to a gangster, Al Amboy (William Bishop) and his blood-thirsty men. Naturally, when Tommy drake is found dead, there's more than enough suspects to go around.Fellow clarinetist, Clarence "Klinker" Krause (Keenan Wynn) tries to help the Charles couple find Buddy by showing them around the various after-hours jazz clubs and bebop musician friends. Somehow, he was never considered a suspect. Every one is talking in hep cat, scat dialog, that frankly gets tiring. And what's with no black musicians? Leon Ames is back, only this time he's Mitch Talbin, the owner of a competing night club with his wife, Phillis (Patricia Morison), who's pretty deadly with a snub nose. Morris Ankrum is back also, only playing the police inspector in this movie. This movie also has a very young Jayne Meadows as Janet Thayar who marries the casino owner, Phil Brant, who is one of the prime suspect. And Ralph Morgan plays Janet's father who's gun may have been the murder weapon. As good as this franchise is, Song of the Thin Man really suffered from bad timing or a terrible script or the trademark pithy come-backs from Nick and Nora. It just didn't have the same oomph that previous sequels had, but it was still a pretty good movie and well worth seeing if it comes on TV.
