I really have no idea how this film was given the green light, the script and premise is just awful. I wish I didn't suffer from OCD, that way I could of stopped this film 10 minutes into it.

Had it's moments (few and far between), but not enough to make a genuinely engrossing picture. I constantly found myself swinging from interested to bored in extremes back and forth, though the bored seemed to linger longer than the interested. Connie Neilsen was great, though, and even Gina Gershon, who I normally can't stand, was fairly decent in her minimal role Chloe Sevigny seemed to meander her way through her role, and I can't really say I blame her. This is hardly in the league of a lot of her previous work. All in all, okay if for nothing more than some competent acting, a few interesting scenes and (the reason I bought it in the first place...) the Sonic Youth soundtrack.

Doug B (jp) wrote: Wow. I saw this on opening day back in 1987. As a kid I kind of liked it. As an adult.... Well how does a shark know to pick out a human to murder and follow to the Bahamas in 2-3 days and roar like a lion and stand on its tail and create blood in the water before inflicting harm. How does a human have a psychic connection to a fish! The Apple has fallen far from the tree in this sequel. Jaws 2 was good for a horror sequel, Jaws 3 was ridiculous but kind of fun since taking place in the future... Arguably.Had to put a star rating but No Stars F

It features deliciously over-the-top acting and a great original soundtrack, and most importantly, it is absolutely 100% unpredictable. It's a film that film buffs, in particular, will definitely appreciate.

A second rocket lands on Mars to return the survivor to Earth for his court marshal for murdering his fellow astronauts. Unfortunately, the titular monster sneaks onto their ship and begins killing everyone. If this plot sounds familiar, it's because we've seen it over and over. "Alien" was much better, but this one was first. It's not really terrible, but it's been done far more effectively.
