Dial M for Murder

In London, wealthy Margot Mary Wendice had a brief love affair with the American writer Mark Halliday while her husband and professional tennis player Tony Wendice was on a tennis tour. Tony quits playing to dedicate to his wife and finds a regular job. She decides to give him a second chance for their marriage. When Mark arrives from America to visit the couple, Margot tells him that she had destroyed all his letters but one that was stolen. Subsequently she was blackmailed, but she had never retrieved the stolen letter. Tony arrives home, claims that he needs to work and asks Margot to go with Mark to the theater. Meanwhile Tony calls Captain Lesgate (aka Charles Alexander Swann who studied with him at college) and blackmails him to murder his wife, so that he can inherit her fortune. But there is no perfect crime, and things do not work as planned. . You can read more in Google, Youtube, Wiki

Mad M (us) wrote: Reasonably entertaining thriller. Nothing particularly special.

Lee M (ca) wrote: As much as a downbeat comedy of bourgeois mores, Archipelago is a sort of claustrophobic horror story, set in a place of no easy escape as it exposes the fault-lines of an upper middle-class British family on holiday.

samuel j (it) wrote: While not filled with as many laughs as it boasts, Salvation Boulevard is a superb dark comedy where everything just goes wrong.

Claire J (ca) wrote: A film that rewards the patient viewer - you've got to be in the mood to let the film reveal itself slowly.

Ron G (fr) wrote: great film that I thought would be light but turned into a sensitive story as well as a bit of taboo vs. father figure story. made me wonder about myself when I wanted a different ending, lol

AJ T (gb) wrote: Lo-fi brilliance in terms of capturing moments so heart-crushingly awkward that it makes The Office look like soft-core pornography. Looking at other comments, it seems to be suffering from "hipster stigma", where any movie that depicts any human being who even remotely falls into a stereotype is automatically written by a trite automaton who doesnt have anything REAL to say. Ironically, Bujalski seems to be the hipster movement's strongest critic at times, if not someone who can make it look the silliest.

Adam R (nl) wrote: A good movie about believing in yourself. Gracie will win your heart. (First and only viewing - 10/19/2014)

Kaisa L (ru) wrote: Liked. Difficult situations and feelings that can't be controlled. Very realistic characters - it was easy to sympathize with all of them, despite their flaws and mistakes.

Cha A (fr) wrote: Every time I watch this film, I am rendered absolutely speechless. It's a poetic, beautiful story told amazingly and Cuba Gooding Jr. not only puts in the best perfoormancee of his career, he may have put in the best performance of any career. This film is so poignant and comments on a lot of issues. Fans of drama/actionadventure/romance/horror will ansoluely love this wonderful achievenent in film hisgtory.

Alex G (ag) wrote: A great film. Examines the human character when placed under extremes. Life within a prison camp reflecting societies structure of haves and have nots...excellent
