Dave S (it) wrote: Well-acted and brimming with humanity, Light-weight on politics, which isn't necessarily a bad thing as sometimes we just want to watch people be families.

Carl W (ru) wrote: A nice little film that is told in a simple, no MTV razmataz (yes thats you Kidulthood!!!) and is all the more effective for it. The whole guns are bad thing is got tired a little while ago now, but this was one of the first and better films dealing with the gun crime culture in Britian.

A Q (it) wrote: Just saw Happy Feet and want to get a good look at Brittany Murphy--the rest of the cast looks solid enough to keep away massive regret.

gustavmarkovic31 (us) wrote: Someone please explain why the hell we have been delivered George of the Jungle 2. The silliness of the first one, coupled with Brendan Fraser's enjoyable slapstick, John Cleese's voiceover and Thomas Haden Church's funny portrail of the vilian is what made the film so fun, yet all of theat was taken away. No more Brendan Fraser. No more funny silliness. No more laughable antics from Haden Church, and Cleese is put to no good use as Ape the Ape. And to make matters worse, GotJ2 insists on assurionfg the viewers that the film is a sequel, a Disney sequel, and a Disney sequel without Brendan Fraser, which is extremely unprofessional and even more tiring and boring to watch and listen to. The narration is terrible and the subplot of teaching Geroge's young'un how to rope swing falls flat, just an excuse to advertise toy products for the boy, which was probably the film's main source of funding, because I don't know who the hell would want this film on their credits list. A sham, a mess and not worth the time or effort it takes to watch it.

Paul D (es) wrote: Nice approach to exploring the loss of the head of a family, mourning through continuing to help his downtrodden friend just like he was. It's a gentle set of characters with a grittier but sincere undercurrent.

Keith W (au) wrote: By far the best of the three so-called "Cavalry Trilogy" Movies. "Fort Apache" was terrible, making a real villain of Henry Fonda and generally following a very depressing mood thorughout, as Fonda insists upon being a -----. "Rio Grande" has the up-hill struggle of using Maureen O'Hara as the supposed love interest. The only good thing about it is The Sons of the Pioneers. "She Wore a Yellow Ribbon" is a much more exciting tale, a lot of good fun, a nice little romance, and an unbelievably touching and real-person performance by The Duke.
