Gordon H (nl) wrote: Arriving at her new college, Beca (Anna Kendrick) finds herself not right for any clique but somehow is muscled into one that she never would have picked on her own: alongside mean girls, sweet girls, and weird girls whose only thing in common is how good they sound when they sing together. When Beca leads this a cappella singing group out of their traditional arrangements and perfect harmonies into all-new mash-ups, they fight to climb their way to the top of college music competitions.A cross between 'Bring It On,' 'Mean Girls,' and 'Glee,' 'Pitch Perfect' is one of the funniest comedies I've seen in a long time! I can't say enough good things about this charming film. I was afraid it would turn into a Glee-like songfest, but it instead showed me something I wasn't expecting to see - heart. Fabulous performances by Anna Kendrick, Brittany Snow, and the rest of the cast, but the actress who absolutely steals the show is comedienne Rebel Wilson as "Fat Amy." SNL, sign this girl up ASAP! Infused with energy, wit, and incredible comedic timing to make it laugh out loud funny---'Pitch Perfect' has it all! Two thumbs way, way up!

Bengel W (gb) wrote: Alas the poor and destitute with lots of frustration and pain are intimately filmed in this fly on the wall screenplay. Written in a passionate style the actors portray the emotions and feelings that come with desperation and hunger. The cold of the Canadian climate is a superb cool background for the chilly story that may break your heart. Nibbles: Salmon, Camas Lilly Bulbs.

Ian V (us) wrote: Not as enjoyable as the remake. Lane and Williams simply bring more to the roles and Hackman makes the father-in-law less of an asshole and more of a buffoon, not to mention the non-entity that is (or isn't) the fiancee.

John B (kr) wrote: Apparently this was the date movie back in the sixties. What it gives to me is another extraordinary triumph of the French cinema at the time. The characters are well defined and the viewer gets a true emotional attachment.

Private U (es) wrote: I watched this movie because robert redford was in it. Other than that there wasn't much else to this film. Redford does do a good job, and i liked the little korean boy he tries to befriend.
