familiar s (it) wrote: A typical RGV film that depicts the real life tragedy in a (cinematically) tragic way. He tries too hard to make the movie intense, but inadvertently gives it an opposite shape. The close-ups of Nana Patekar were irritating. When there's constant shooting (with blood all around, supposedly to create a shocking atmosphere) & no dialogues, I longed for some dialogues. But when the dialogues came, it didn't turn out to be any better either. The terrorist act was disaster, and so is the movie. Of course, most Indian critics hailed it.

Taylor F (it) wrote: Powerful and moving with a strong insight into the reality of the Afghan war that too many back at home do not consider. However I actually felt that the BBC series 'Our War' provided this more successfully.

helio v (br) wrote: the best drama I watched so far, fine performances, good scenery of the 60s and a balance between sad and funny scenes, recommend even for people who do not like drama because and very good.

Varun S (br) wrote: A movie with no story and a few twists ....anil kapoor was wasted in the movie..why was RD anyways there..saif,john and deepika saved a bit by their acting skills and skin show(this one is for John)...movie banks open the huge theatrical release of around 3600 screens and star-cast to cash in..otherwise..2 stars out of 5 for me..don't have a choice..another movie akash vaani getting minimum coverage due to Race 2 release..

Andrew D (ca) wrote: I grew up in the London of bomb threats. UK news did not represent the Irish side of the conflict as at all legitimate. The result in me was that I did not want to watch this film and I was confused when the Guilford 4 found justice. It was almost as though they were actually guilty still and the miscarriage of justice was that they had been released. Maybe it was my imagination but that is what I felt was the undercurrent of the news coverage at the time. I shudder to allow the knowledge of how many people have been crushed by the British justice system into Britannia-inculcated consciousness. It is coming in though. Viva the Guilford four, Stephen Lawrenny, Trayvon Martin and everyone else.

E F (it) wrote: Cinematography and wardrobe make it really feel like you're watching a movie made in the 50's. Love the music and the cameos by Sade and Ray Davies, and a great overall performance from David Bowie. And for the most part, a lot of fun, but then it gets kind of serious dealing with the dark topic of a race riot. For some reason, a musical about race riots doesn't seem appropriate.

Giovanni M (ca) wrote: It doesn't compare to their best works, but Chevy Chase and Dan Aykroyd make for a fitfully funny duo in this occasionally hilarious Cold War farce.

John Y (us) wrote: You'd have thought they would have moved after the first film.

Caroline A (jp) wrote: Funny with some good songs. Dean Martin sang well, but the dancing needed some work.

Aaron G (de) wrote: Everything that a contained micro-thriller should be.

Martin T (ru) wrote: This is absolutely terrific noir. Crackerjack performance from Dana Andrew, a passable one from Gene Tierney (commentator Eddie Muller rightfully points out her limited range), and all the supporting players are a delight. Otto Preminger keeps everything tight and tense, with a lot of great photography and music. Lots of tough talk and snappy banter and heavy themes.
