Joseph D (it) wrote: The cartoon version is still better, but this wasn't terrible. There're even more well-cast characters to enjoy. & I really liked all the character interaction.

Moya W (de) wrote: After having seen all the other movie adaptations from Nicholas Sparks this one ended up being a disappointment. This one wasn't a tearjerker in the way that all of his other movies have been. This movie ended up being quite difficult to get into, it had a lack of chemistry and there were parts that were hard to fully comprehend. This ended up making you not feel anything by the movie's finish, and this is a movie that's supposed to make you feel. Which is a shame. It started getting better after a while, but it just wasn't good enough.

Zach M (fr) wrote: This was a great movie from Mario Van Peebles about how Sweet Sweetback's Baddddassssss Song got made. So interesting and it was great to a movie made about how another movie got made. Mario Van Peebles plays his father Melvin Van Peebles and does an excellent job. There was a lot of heart and soul put into this movie and you can see it pour out of every frame. It gives you an amazing perspective of what it can take for people to get a movie made without the backing of a studio.

Prashanth R (mx) wrote: This movie came free with another DVD. Thriller without thrill

Duncan B (it) wrote: Funny in places but fails to capture that certain edge the television series had.

Meri B (fr) wrote: Quirky, bumbling criminals played by some of the coolest actors around? Deadpan, hilarious dialogue? How did I not know about this movie until now? Loved it.

Spermian J (mx) wrote: Trite and predictable.

Peter W (fr) wrote: I should have watched this with Drew. Fierstein is so fabulous that I wish I could have seen the four hour original live!

Daniel G (br) wrote: This may have been the most refreshing movie I've watched all year. I took a half star off because of a bit too much cliche slowmo. There wasn't that much and it wasn't really overdone but it was too much for my taste. Everything about this mo ice was so well done though. The cinematography, writing, sets, costumes, casting, music. Oh not to mention the little moments of comedy, the action. The action....oh god Chow Yun Fat is such a badass in this movie.I'll add more to this later.

Benjamin W (kr) wrote: "Rudy" before "Rudy", and even "College" (the Buster Keaton film made two years later) before "College", "The Freshman" is filled with the comedic little bits that made Harold Lloyd's characters loveable. Never down-and-out, Harold's spunky attitude fuels his confidence and his comedy. Of course, what was probably most poignant about this film was that little has changed when it comes to college. Perhaps the quote from this film sums it up best: "a large football stadium with a college attached".

Ilja S (ca) wrote: David Fincher took the A-class horror-sci-fi franchise and made it into a poorly written b-class horror slasher set in space. Unfortunately, Alien feel extremely cheesy and a little overacted. It trades thrills for jump scares and tention for gore, which (in this case) is not a good thing.

David S (de) wrote: Once Exists gets rolling its fun, but the characters are so bland and boring it's hard to like this. I stuck through and eventually ended up liking it somewhat. It's not the best, but a decent for a genre that doesn't see much awesome anymore.
