Hli L (au) wrote: Challenging current distribution models and taking advantage of the found-footage horror movie fever, The Tunnel is a perfect date movie because it won't cost you a thing and it's likely to make you jump and brace up to the person sitting/laying down next to you. While it's another Australian mockumentary filled with cliches and stereotypes it does really boil if you have the patience to endure all the simmering. Watch if you're poor and wanna Netflix and chill without having to sign up for anything.

John M (ca) wrote: Neo-noir at some of its finest. Slickly directed, smartly written and perfectly acted. Wachiowski Brothers need to do another noir. This is their best film by far.

Nancy M (fr) wrote: Great romantic comedy. I love both sets of parents and their weird little quirks!

Alex A (mx) wrote: I'll admit that Kingsley and Connelley deliver strong performances as usual, but "House of Sand and Fog" is genericly directed melodrama that's more concerned with attempting to jerk the tears forcefully out of it's audiences eye sockets instead allowing the dramatic elements to flow naturally. The drama just feels way to overblown and too forced to be realistic or affecting in anyway. Jennifer Connelley's character was also extremely unlikeable and made a poor protagonist because of how difficult it was to invest in the character. Overall, too cheesy and over-indulgent and lacking in subtlety.
