Disco Singh

Disco Singh is the story of a struggling singer who was named Lattu prasad in a moment of inspiration by his parents. However, there is nothing inspirational about his life, which basically involves him performing in marriages and parties for his living. Lattu is a failed singer who runs an orchestra named Disco Singh. He dreams of only two things - success and Sweety. Sweety is a beautiful and successful model. Lattu keeps on praying to god to send an angel who can make his dreams come true. And sure enough, God does send someone. Bhupinder Singh aka Paaji is a dreaded don who is not really an angel but Yamraj. He asks Lattu to do a job for him in return of which Lattu will get all the money that he wants. And so begins Lattu`s hilarious journey where he tries to woo Sweety while trying to save his life from Paaji. Things keep on getting more and more complicated for Lattu and how he manages to escape from all these pangas is what forms the rest of the story.

Ollie W (ca) wrote: Irritating. Unbelievably earnest and serious, but awful direction and desperatly annoying performances makes this an unsatisfying T.V movie and one that is far below the expected quality of an HBO production. Everything here is dealt with far more effectively and entertainingly in HBOs brilliant Deadwood. Gains half a star due to the fact that as a massive OZ fan it was fantastic to see Beecher and Schillinger reunited on screen in stand out cameo's.

David G (ru) wrote: This is certainly the darkest of all the Dirty Harry movies. The only one filmed out of San Francisco, it has aged well. It's a wee bit corny in places too, Harry's dog for example. And after killing Horace, why do the Hoods spare Harry? A little far fetched. But Sondra Locke is great in this movie.

Lovro H (ag) wrote: Yeah, this wasn't really a children's animated movie. It feels like one at times, but then something dark and disturbing happens, and then all of a sudden, you feel like you're watching an adult animated movie. I quite liked how that was done. The story is about Fiver, a rabbit, who starts getting visions of how he and his herd are in grave danger. Upon telling everyone about his visions, most of the rabbits decide to follow him and his brother, Hazel, to safety. But, those who haven't followed him, indeed, get into some quite dangerous situations. From that point on, the rabbits are split up into two groups. The good group who wants to live a life of freedom and safety, and the bad group, Efrafa, who wants to have control over everything, and keep their rabbits as slaves. It's not really unpredictable what's going to happen next. The good group decides to save all the rabbits being kept in slavery over at Efrafa. I will not spoil the ending, but that ending was seriously brutal and quite depressing. The characters are all rabbits, with an exception of a cat, a dog and a bird. All of the rabbits are very well developed as chracters and once you switch positions of the rabbits with humans, it almost starts to feel like a war movie. There's infiltrating in the enemy's base, there's acts of heroism, sacrifices etc. etc. The animation style is really beautiful and reminds me a lot of Ralph Bakshi's cartoons. The voice-acting is very good, though the sound quality was a bit off, but I can't blame them for that, it was made in 1978 after all. The music is great and quite Disneyesque. All in all, an amazing animated cartoon with a moving and brutal story, filled with well developed characters and a deep meaning to it. I would recommend checking this movie out, and don't think of it as a children's cartoon.

Let me explain the plot, and I say plot very loosely...very loosely. There is a bed that some English dude behind a painting watches over. People are eaten with foam acid by the bed. This girl and The Dad from Boy Meets world...well they don't fight it. She kinda...his hands...Blood from the floor...or maybe the knife?THIS MOVIE MADE NO FUCKING SENSE!If you ever want to see a bed eat a Bucket of KFC, a bottle of Wine and Peopto Bismol, you are in for a treat.
