Dominic S (fr) wrote: A complete and total waste of Julianne Moore's time and talents, however, this story line was very interesting and I rather enjoyed some of it, and not just because the film also starred such Broadway legends like Nathan Lane and Norbert Leo Butz, whom I adore. This film is about what happens when a lonely high school english teacher runs into a former student of hers, reads his play that he attempted to have produced on Broadway, and decides to have the play put on in the high school. The relationships that blossom, the drama that happens outside of rehearsal, and the reputations that are struck down and brought back up again, all happen as a result.Very interesting story and worth the netflix. The English Teacher, I give you a 60%.

Alan W (gb) wrote: A surprisingly intimate account of Stephen Glass' fraudulent journalistic downfall while still being dramatically satisfying. The film has an amazing screenplay that boasts intriguing dialogue and a correct focus in order to avoid making the audience bored. Hayden Christensen gives an extremely good and overlooked performance that completely erases the horrendous work he did in the Star Wars prequels and shows his true ability as an actor. Peter Sarsgaard also does a great job by managing to deliver a controlled performance and carrying the movie along with Hayden Christensen. Shattered Glass is a very underrated movie that certainly deserved more attention.

Jim A (ca) wrote: A cheap and ridiculous movie that though made 34 years after the original King Kong has far inferior effects work and a far sillier plot that lacks any real entertainment value beyond a "so ridiculous its good vibe." It just feels random and silly not creative at all. Toho invented some good monsters but they clearly didn't know what to do with King Kong
