Jeanne lives in Paris and believes she is the reincarnation of Don Juan. She visits a priest and tells him she has killed a man. He comes to her elegant flat - her father has died leaving her rich - and she tells the priest stories about men she has seduced. The seduction is easy, she tells him, it's destruction that takes planning. We watch her with an upright elected official, a wealthy boor, and a folk singer. She describes herself as a spider. Her friend Léporella tries to be Jeanne's conscience. What does Jeanne want?

Richard D (es) wrote: This is a ridiculous film. Not in the "what a bunch of ridiculous fun" kind of way, but more in the "only an idiot could find this plot plausible" kind of way. Does it work despite this? Yes ... kind of. The serious tone does not sit well with the ludicrous plot, but the cast does a remarkably good job (well, Chris Pine does just a good job) with silly material. I don't regret watching it, but one has to have reasonably low expectations. Even though Kenneth Branagh is in this, I have trouble believing that he bothered to direct this.

Whilst the first had a campy sort of fun with a decent cast by this point were down to a buxom blonde with Lara Croft delusions and the dwarf from Lord Of The Rings. With special effects that a PS1 user would be appalled at and a script that, dare I say it, even the Syfy channel would reject.
