However, I thought it was the best acting she had ever done, especially the final dramatic scene with her mom. I love Paul Rudd too, so this would have just had to be stupidly written to have been bad. And it wasn't. It was unique and precious. I'm not sure why there was so much hate toward it.

Even though it's completely clich (C)d and pretty much the plot of Shutter the original and the remake with a touch of Mirrors added in. I'm not sure what divulge exactly but I guess I can say it's a ghost revenge movie. Something bad happened involving a missing girl and her spirit comes back to take revenge against the people responsible. it's all fairly generic and fright free but there are a few genuine chills and some good death sequences. The film is pretty gory with shotty cinematography and by the numbers direction. The performances from Nick Stahl slumming it and Emmanuel Vaugier are solid enough for the material and maybe a little too good for it to be honest. The film is mildly inventive as far as genre films go. It just kinda feels like you've seen this all before and it's because you have... 2.5/5

Dave M (fr) wrote: Green Day is the most promising hardwork rockband currently in the world, and its career proves they have been quite perseverant, and yes, they have growned unbelievably since the launch of "American Idiot" in 2004. "Bullet In A Bible" is a portrait of almost everything Green Day's songs stand for, even though it is much more focused on explicit homosexual thematics than in actual "rebellion", and it makes the concert a little tired overtime. Still, Green Day always surprises all the way through the end, and their lyrics are as powerful as meaningful.

jeremy w (br) wrote: What the hell made anyone want to watch this one I saw a good rating and thought why not. Boy was I wrong. Mickey Rourke plays an IRA bomber who accidentally blows up a school bus full of kids instead of the intended targets an army troop truck. When pushed to the brink he must do all that is necessary to get his freedom back. What was the director thinking when he thought this film was going to work. Did he oversleep the day his god gave out common sense? He had a non-blind person play one who also played the piano with shots showing she wasn't even close. Throughout the movie she looks directly into peoples eyes then later she's lighting candles. Why she's BLIND... Best of all Mickey R. sounds like a leprechaun from Lucky charmsville. Some of the acting was OK, but either the story was a pile crap or the director couldn't see the big scope. Anyway, it was a complete waste of time. By the end I wanted to smash my face onto the table next to me so it would all be over. Don't watch this unless you like movies that are more wrong than right.

Ken S (ca) wrote: Sylvester Stallone stars as the comic book anti-hero Judge Dredd...and it is a very forgettable experience. Visually the film should be impressive, but it really just looks like ultimately better 1990s sci-fi films like "The Fifth Element" or "Total Recall." It lacks anything exciting or memorable that those films had. Stallone is shockingly bad in this. I don't know much about the character or the comics, but it seems that this film must have gotten everything that made those endure wrong. The more recent film starring Karl Urban is much better.

Tiffany D (jp) wrote: This satire is more homage than hilarious; the pace is slo-o-ow and the plot is bare-bones - but it's so chock full of nostalgia and heart that it evens out. Plus, there's a brief Amy Sedaris cameo - and that always helps. 3 stars
Jesse K (fr) wrote: 3.5/5 The script could use some work but Seeking a Friend packs a heavy emotional punch thanks to the great chemistry between Steve Carell and Keira Knightley.
