Kyle C (au) wrote: Ok, that was definitely more than 3 days so not quite sure what the title is supposed to mean, but anyways, as for the ending, (minor spoiler) was the shot working, or not, because what he does with it doesn't really explain anything. The action is good, when it's there, and the story is dramatic and somewhat decent. Kevin Costner who I don't usually prefer isn't all that bad, but he has no emotion whether it be happy, sad, anxious, hurt, nothing, he's just kind of bland, but I'm guessing that's how he always is. Now a big problem for me in this, was the daughter, played by Hailee Steinfeld, I cannot believe that this girl was nominated for an Academy Award because she is awful, her facial expressions, her dialogue and just pretty much everything that she does in this, she is not good. Overall it wasn't atrocious, it was just kind of all over the place. MILD RECOMMENDATION.

Very few people end up realizing their passion as Steve did; good for him. He was never arrogant - just honest. He cared about the work product and had no patience for the politics or egos - I like it. His interview was really inspirational.

Richard L (kr) wrote: A grim but not as grim as it could have been epidemic movie about a bad case of agoraphobia killing with a panic attack anyone who steps outside. The movie is fairly predictable but the acting is great and the ending is satisfying and emotional.

Gimly M (mx) wrote: Imagine if when Raimi made Spider-Man 3, instead of the titular Webhead it featured The Crow. Then you've pretty much got Darkman. That's sort of harsh, Darkman's actually really fun. A lot of the things that happen in it wouldn't work now, but for twenty five years ago they're alright.

Ryan P (ca) wrote: A confused, but fun, campy cult classic. It drags in places, but makes up for it in others, especially after the arrival of the title characters.

Jason M (kr) wrote: Raging Bull is a classic boxing film. De Niro's performance is one of the greatest of his career. Scorsese's telling of Jake LaMotta's life story is art, not simply another Hollywood movie. It is serious and builds empathy for the audience for the film's protagonist. La Motta was a rough, streetwise pugilist, who made his way to the top simply by his unique toughness. Ironically, this film etches LaMotta forever into cinematic history, moreso than he will be remembered for his fighting career.

Charles P (nl) wrote: It's beautiful. It's bloated. And it's so very clichd.

Greg V (mx) wrote: Relatable and funny, Laggies is an oddball coming-of-age story, as the main character is already of age.

Gary M (ca) wrote: It was a pretty slow movie. A one time watch.

Claire P (kr) wrote: Never mind your Football Factory etc...this is THE only footie hooliganism film you need to see. One of my all time faves-Dinsdale is outstanding as the lead, with an A1 supporting cast(Lee Ross,Sean Pertwee,Perry Fenwick(Billy from Eastenders)..all put in stellar performances... Nothing has come close on the topic since-a brilliant Brit flick...totally underrated.
