Don't Touch the White Woman!
A highly stylized surreal farce about the events leading up to Custer's Last Stand anachronistically reenacted in an urban renewal area in modern Paris.
Director Mario Fererri reenacts the events leading up to the Battle of the Little Big Horn in this wild, highly stylized surreal farce set in and around a gaping excavation for a huge urban renewal project in 1974 Paris. The anachronistic backdrop highlights the incongruity of the broad comic characterizations of real life figures George Armstrong Custer, Sitting Bull, and Buffalo Bill.

It takes a true genius to notice how cleverly interspersed the animation is with some of the live-action elements, and how stock footage often gets intercut.

(gb) wrote: The idea behind this film is interesting, but the way the film is executed is really bad. Some extremely corny moments in this film made me want to tune out, but I kept waiting for the film to redeem itself...it never did. Really bad acting by the main characters and bad special effects don't help the already corny costumes and props. And what is more frustrating is that there are no subtitles to help us understand what the Samurai is saying.
