Jai S (nl) wrote: This was "Rainy Day" movie. A movie left on because I couldn't find the energy to change the remote. What a extraordinary moving piece and excellent heart-tugging film that would have been normally overlooked... An excellent film.

John P (ca) wrote: Pascal Laugier has directed one of the most effective movies I have seen recently, Martyrs. This is before that effort, and lacks a lot of explanations on certain aspects. I am NOT a fan of haunted house movies. This, however, kept my attention because of the solid performances, and the beautiful photography.

Frank J (ca) wrote: Adaptation trop courte avec trop de scnes coupes qui en valaient la peine. Nanmoins, le travail effectu avec les animaux est hallucinant, mais ne parvient pas rendre honneur l'oeuvre d'Orwell.

Danea N (de) wrote: My all time favortie, absolutely LOVE this movie!

D M (br) wrote: A rather unfunny comedy about low-life clowns. Tom Kenny, Robin Williams, Bobcat Gothwait, Adam Sandler, etc. Too depressing to watch these people wallow in filth.

Michael T (au) wrote: Famous comic book artist Colin Childress (Jeffrey Combs) is the artist of a popular Horror comic Cellar Dweller and stupidly uses a dusty old tome, The Curses of the Ancient Dead as an inspiration for his lurid tales of terror. Unfortunately, he doesn't realize that the incantations he is using for inspiration actually work and brings one of his horrific creations to life. Combs manages to stop the creature but at the cost of his own life. Years later, Combs former studio has become an artists retreat to which perky young Whitney Taylor (Deborah Mullowney) arrives. She is a disciple of the late Childress and wants to follow in his footsteps. The woman running the retreat, Mrs. Briggs (Yvonne De Carlo) resents our heroine and she must contend with a former art school rival (Pamela Bellwood) and a PI turned mystery writer (Vince Edwards looking like Stacey Keach). Will Whitney find the ancient tome and will history repeat itself? It would be a pretty poor excuse for a direct-to-video Horror from from the late 1980s if she did. Its entertaining enough and not too long with the requisite amount of gore to satisfy genre fans and Cheryl Ann Wilson takes a predictable shower. The creature is a guy in a suit which is not that impressive but has a certain amount of charm lacking in many of today's CGI monstrosities.

Jae L (de) wrote: funnier when i watched it as a kid. it's awesome to watch such an ensemble, though. it's better than the three stars i'm giving it, but i'm not sure by how much.

Michael T (nl) wrote: Confusing and a bit tedious.

George N (gb) wrote: This was the worst movie I have scene in quite a while. The story is quite simple and predicable but what puts it over the top is acting that would make a Porn worth an Oscar nomination. All the characters are wooden and deliver their lines as if they had an overdose of Ritalin. And for some reason all the cars in the movie have vanity plates with names, my favorite is Chuckie the pink Jeep.

Alex M (de) wrote: For being from the early 30s this movie was very well acted. The relationship between Gable and Lombard was fantastic. I can only imagine the actual chemistry between these two on the set of this film. You can really see how much the two enjoy each other as it is the only film with the two of them together.

Zachary M (mx) wrote: Boasting a lot of stunning visuals the movie is just as interesting as it is frustrating to watch. The main problem is that I really don't have any sympathy for one half of the main characters. Jennifer Tilly's character seems shady and untrustworthy, but by the end she seems to be redeemed and has a happy ending. One she really doesn't deserve. It seems she's no different from her gangster husband and his colleges, and yet she gets what she want in the end. Its things like that make it hard for me to get over in movies. With a different ending this could have been a lot better, but as it stands it feels a bit meh. A poor ending will do that to you.
