Samantha H (mx) wrote: an intense, heart pounding, British thriller with an ending you won't see coming! I LOVE this movie. Kierston Wareing is incredible! X

Jason C (ca) wrote: A film about semiotics and futility. Not the best of the "Romanian New Wave" that I've seen, but definitely a good film. Like many of the films of the movement it is deliberately paced and darkly funny. It is less subtle than I've come to expect from the "New Wave" but no less effective.

Shaun M (gb) wrote: A low budget romantic drama in the vein of Woody Allen, In Search of a Midnight Kiss is an uncommonly honest, heartfelt and hilarious film that refuses to condescend its audience and instead delivers scene after scene of truth about human relationships.

Jim A (jp) wrote: Its a cute enough as a childrens fairytale but its far from Miyazaki's best. This odd story about a fish becoming a girl comes accross like it was stitched together from alot of better ideas. While all Miyazaki movies have had very strange elemants this movie this movie just seemed to be weird for the sake of being weird and its too damn cutsey for most adults. Still for pure visual imagination this movie has some amazing moments

A sexually ambiguous laydee free with her loving if it will get her a job gets booted out of teaching, she sleeps with the headmaster and he gets her a job watching two spoiled brats in what I beleive was Switzerland....the end....well not quite but if any of you watch it out can you let me know what the hell it was all about as I havent the foggiest idea. I dont think the makers did either....

Tommy K (gb) wrote: The action-packed and educational aspects of the story are perfectly balanced, the animation is absolutely beautiful and makes you really feel as though you're in ancient China, and the characters are just lovable. One of DreamWorks' best.

Paul P (it) wrote: Such a great, well-written film that will definitely stay with me for a while. It's such a shame that so many of my friends who will not watch 'horror' miss out on clever films like this. This ain't really horror but a more psychological supernatural thriller anyway. There are plenty of questions to ask and solving to do but in the end, answers are revealed, making the film very satisfying.

Ryan V (ru) wrote: Hoskins gives a vulnerable performance based in devout loyalty. Loyalty to his mob bosses who he did time for and loyalty to the prostitute he falls for when he gets out of the joint. The guy can't catch a break, as he finds out the the woman he loves is in love with another prostitute. Even though he's in a world of lowlifes, you like the guy and root for the poor bastard.

Private U (kr) wrote: A lot more fun than Girdler's GRIZZLY. Some of the animal attack scenes are genuinely creepy. The tension between Chistopher George and Leslie Nielson leads to some very funny dialogue. Highly recommended to fans with an appreciation for cheese. Warning: The DVD from Media Blasters is terrible (same is true for Girdler's Grizzly).

Emre T (fr) wrote: The Earrings of Madame de . . . is an emotionally profound, cinematographically adventurous tale of false opulence and tragic romance. When the aristocratic woman known only as Madame de (the extraordinary Danielle Darrieux) sells her earrings, unbeknownst to her husband (Charles Boyer), in order to pay personal debts, she sets off a chain reaction, the financial and carnal consequences of which can only end in despair. Ophuls adapts Louise de Vilmorin's incisive fin de sicle novel with virtuosic camera work so elegant and precise it's been called the equal to that of Orson Welles

Hristijan N (gb) wrote: The best out of all resident evil movies. Mila Jovovich is very charismatic as Alice, great action but like in the whole franchise the plot is a mess.

Ellie L (au) wrote: "you are not alone" hard to believe that any human would treat another human with such disregard. how do they live with themselves?
