(us) wrote: A charming look at a unique podcast blended with the interesting story of Dan Harmon's story as a comedy writer starting with his firing from NBC and the subsequent rehiring. The strong point of the film is it does not hold back on criticism of Harmon himself. In interviews people criticize his work style as well as his short temper, and shows glimpses into his alcoholism and his sometimes abusive relationship with his girlfriend at the time of filming the movie. This doc does nothing more than make me want to listen to some Harmontown.

As an omnivore, it hasn't swayed me from my animal protein rich diet. If you have stronger conviction on the treatment of animals, it might sway you.

(jp) wrote: Overlong and somewhat disappointing re-teaming of "The Apartment" stars Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacClaine and writer/director Billy Wilder. It's certainly not a bad film, but it's a far cry from the brilliant mix of comedy and drama that was done to perfection in "The Apartment". MacClaine is great as the title character and Lemmon too has many great moments in the film, but the story seems to drag on longer than necessary and it's not as wildly funny as are the best Billy Wilder comedies. Still, it's definitely required viewing for Wilder fans.
