A team of skydiving crooks led by DEA-agent-turned-bad Ty Moncrief (Busey) specialize in landing on police roofs and breaking in so their evil computer nerd can steal undercover agents' files and sell them to drug lords. Federal Marshal Pete Nessip (Snipes) lost a brother to this crew and learns skydiving with the help of tough-but-lovable instructor Jessie Crossmann (Butler) so he can track them down.

Sean C (us) wrote: Expecting some tacky squid of the week movie, where nobodies get swamped in tentacles and gobbled, I was surprised by something more plot based that was ok but not the dodgy pleasure I was anticipating.

Chance F (nl) wrote: A film about how brilliance is often times ignored when it cannot be understood. It fell short in its execution on several accounts. For one, Meryl Streep was more of a tertiary character, and that was disappointing. For two, it seemed to move too fast, skipping over crucial plot points to focus more on unnecessary dialogue, such as Liu Xing's parents talking about what they've heard about America. There should have been more focus on the rivalry between Liu Xing and Laurence Feng in their attempts to win the praise of their professor Jacob Reiser. Instead, it started out with Xing being Reiser's protege. Then Joanna Silver (Meryl Streep) mentions to her husband that there's a new Chinese student at the school named Feng who was 2nd to Xing at their school in Beijing and that they were rivals there. Then, Feng is suddenly taken under Reiser's wing, and Xing seems to be forgotten about entirely. But we don't see any of the struggle or the emotion of this, which makes the ending come as a complete shock. But it also seemed to drag in parts that should have moved quickly. It could have been an excellent movie. The beginning was great. The ending was perfect. But somewhere in between, for a very long period of time, it died, which caused this to be just an okay to good film.

John B (mx) wrote: We have learned from Horrible Bosses and Margin Call that Kevin Spacey plays a wonderful flawed boss. Here is one of his first examples of being the guy that you would love to push out a window. While you can wish that Spacey would vary his roles a wee bit more, these scene chewing moments are fabulous.

Masorad (nl) wrote: As a conceit, Thurber's Walter Mitty did it better, and Schlesinger's adolescent fantasia is now a bit of a chore to sit through, save for seeing a young Julie Christie. Courtenay's character is often intolerable, and the machine-gun toss-offs and flights of middling fancy tedious and embarrassing. Doctor Who is better for '63 Brit innovation.

Trent M (mx) wrote: The provided synopsis is quite accurate so I've little to add there. I found Jane to be more of a damsel here than in the earlier film, but the elephant graveyard is nicely chilling. This was made as the Production Code came into being, so there are still some rather risque moments that border on full nudity for those with "purely historical" interest in this film. There is lots of animal violence if any potential viewers are sensitive to that sort of thing.

Bily T (es) wrote: Midnight in Paris is an ok movie not the best film I've seen in miles for it's not the worst movie I've ever seen either.I care the point of the movie and there were some scenes I thought was pretty good but also some scenes that didn't even make since. This film had an okay story, some good acting, ok music and some funny jokes here and there. But even though there are some good moments there are some bad ones that are stupid but also predictable at times.Overall Midnight in Paris is an okay movie I give it a 5.0 out of 10 not good not bad if you want to watch it I'd give it at least one viewing and see what you think.
