(jp) wrote: Bad ripoff of the excellent "Grave Encounters". Nothing more.
(au) wrote: Seems to limp in many places, the decisions and characters are not so believable. Acting is good, but not perfect and the suspense is not so... suspenseful after all. Only as a second-selection.
(jp) wrote: Watchable but nothing new to the "camcorder footage found" movies :(
(fr) wrote: KInd of interesting, especially to show how boring hair is nowadays, but I didn't much care fo rthe subject and his strange, elocution-trained voice. The 80's Vidal & Beverley Sassoon TV series, with white teeth & orange tan was a low point.
(au) wrote: We really liked this movie; it's a serious movie so be prepared for that.
(ag) wrote: The movie shows us she had an interesting life but it doesn't really deliver any noteworthy insight.

(kr) wrote: Quite a good film, which I found very touching. Such films about the French suburbs are not common. However, the message of the film (which seems to be, moreover, Marivaux's message), is not very hopeful : everyone remains who he is, and wants other people to have the same social background as his. This is not a very beautiful image of France, and far away from France's theoretical ideals.
(es) wrote: Basically its Pacific Rim on a much lower budget. This movie which chooses to again pointlessly reboot Godzilla rather than being a sequel to any of the earlier 2000s Godzilla movies has an interesting new story for Mechagodzilla and a decent monster fight to end it but 26 movies into the series you've seen it all before and the installment lacks anything new to justify making yet another one

(ru) wrote: A totally harmless, innocent, sweet, pleasant little romance. It'll make you smile.
(es) wrote: 5 Stars. Another masterpiece. Kurosawa just gets it.
(it) wrote: It almost put me to sleep, but it also has a lot of meaningful tidbits and insights on life. Especially the guilt of ignoring third world countries and their problems, and the overusage of social media (prophetic!). The movie is a bit long and the beginning could have been shortened, but this long conversation piece has little nuggets of gold spread throughout its running time.
(ca) wrote: I remember this old movie. Lots of "human nature" running amuck. Lots of fun to watch with some of the "best" of the old comedians (e.g. Dick Van Dyke).
(es) wrote: Susan Hayward was very good in this film as the whiny loser who was a Dead Woman Walking in fashionable shoes and earrings. The underestimated Simon Oakland plays Ed Montgomery, the reporter who told Barbara Graham's story. The last half hour is the best as the moment of execution drew near. I thought the leaches witnessing the gassing begged for some good lines. This has none of the power of "Dead Man Walking" with Sean Penn, and it's not as maudlin as "Bird Man of Alcatraz" but it is a fine example of 1950s good girl gone bad films.
(jp) wrote: Rita Hayworth steals the show in this film noir about a gambler who befriends a rich casino owner, becomes his right hand man, and then finds out he has married a woman from his past. Hayworth is seductive, playful, and sexy in her performance, and any scene without her suffers a little bit. She isn't just beautiful, she gives a great performance, and two great dance numbers (someone else provided her singing voice). It is a classic old Hollywood film, and I enjoyed it.
(us) wrote: A violent and hard hitting film. A good watch in 2014 even though it is now a bit dated. Probably a timeless classic in some ways.
(ag) wrote: A boring and very predictable journey through the outback that leads to unsatisfying horror. Through its entirety I was just waiting for it to end.
(gb) wrote: Nice acting, good story, excellent movie. Also like music which represent part of the movie really well.
