I don't hate it, but i doubt that any normal person will interesting in this.

Li K (au) wrote: well. that was a bleak and depressing and boring waste of 2.5 hours. I assume. Maybe the stuff people on IMDb liked was edited out for commercials or happened during the ten minutes my mom called towards the end. but I don't think so.the acting was good, and I was pleased that the dog didn't die, but that's all it had going for it, and the non-ending made me feel insulted enough about their lack of respect for my time to bring it down from average.I'm aware this makes me some kind of uncultured Neanderthal, but I have no appreciation for drama for the sake of drama. I need to like the characters or get a deeper message or feel entertained or something. its not enough for me to just go "wow, it sure sucks to be them." I get no enjoyment from that. particularly when it's their fault it sucks to be them.I'm also vaguely astounded and semidistubed at just how much violent sex can be shown on network tv in the middle of the afternoon on a nonschool day. Not that I don't understand the appeal of rough sex, I very much do, but I shudder to think how many pubescent boys maybe stumbled on that mess during a sex scene and went "huh, she's saying no, but look how much she likes it anyways" and will go on about their lives with that planted in their brains.so. yeah. anyways. yay for movie dog living, bah to the rest of you.

Gabriel R (ca) wrote: The only movie to date I walked out of. Based off of the first book of the Eragon series it attempts to portray the events of a detailed and lengthy book and fails to portray much of anything besides bad special effects. Whether you read the books or not I wouldnt recommend the film for anything else besides entertaining small boys while you do something else.
Dov D (de) wrote: Even for the modestly budgeted indie film that director Lawrence Silverstein's Freerunner is, it still managed to underwhelm me. In a clear attempt to capitalize the viral sensation that was parkour (to be clear, I'm not knocking it... I used to and still do actionably parkour and train), this movie's plot, premise, and action are all centered around parkour, and apparently any conflict can be solved through some variation of parkour. I've seen two other films recently that heavily featured parkour (District B13 and District 13: Ultimatum) that were significantly better than Freerunner. The reason for this is that they used parkour as a character attribute and during action sequences. They had solid plots that, you guessed it, didn't center around parkour. The acting was just abysmal in this movie. The characters were wildly overacted, making it a pretty funny bad film (the only reason this movie received a full star). Because of the realistic aspect parkour added to the movie, the ridiculously unrealistic story was emphasized resulting in one mess of a film. Those two elements did (I'm sure unintentionally) juxtapose each other nicely, which is what gave it it's comedic value. Bottom line, I can't recommend this to anyone, it's not very good... But if you're with some good friends and want something to laugh at, you could do worse.
