Alisha M (gb) wrote: Unlike many films that claim to be "family films", Doggie B actually delivers. Little kids will enjoy happy, dancing canines and tweens and teens will enjoy the slightly rebellious Cassie and her burgeoning, chaste romance with Roman (nephew of the evil Gertrude). Adults will appreciate that in every frame it is obvious that writer/director Romanus Wolter is a true lover of movies. From the obvious homages to films like The Wizard of Oz,101 Dalmatians, and Technicolor films in general to winks and nods to modern classics such as Saturday Night Fever, Doggie B fills the screen with brilliant colors and an amazing, quirky take on a classic tale (or is it "tail") of good versus evil.
Al M (mx) wrote: The omnibus, portmanteau, or anthology film (whatever term you prefer) has become a rare commodity in modern horror. Once a staple horror film format in the 60s, 70s, and early 80s, the genre has all but died out. Along with the British film Little Deaths, The Theatre Bizarre seems to be attempting a resurrection of the genre in truly gruesome ways. While not as twisted as Little Deaths, The Theatre Bizarre still offers plenty of bizarre stories and brutal plotlines. Strung together with a series of macabre tableaux with the iconic Udo Kier as the ringmaster/MC, the film will keep you surprised from one story to the next as it brings the omnibus film fully into the current horror era.
Mike C (mx) wrote: Likeable Eastwood film developed with the encouragement and devotion of Morgan Freeman. I would love this a little more if Damon was bigger than a halfback and the *mystery* food poisoning of every member of the losing finalists was acknowledged, even in a publicity interview after the films release. Humerously Clint refused to take interviews from NZ journalists when marketing the film.

Alejandro R (nl) wrote: A stylized action drama that feels like a Tarantino film, because his like-minded buddy Robert Rodriguez is the one who brings the graphic novel to the silver screen. An incredibly impressive cast for this urban, but somewhat mythic world. Some of the cast members were unrecognizable in their roles, but the style of the film is very recognizable indeed. An entertaining blood bath that carries some flare making it aesthetically pleasing sometimes, but not really that memorable or something I'd want to watch again.

Mikhael E (gb) wrote: I would have given this 6.5 out of 10. I like it because it does not follow the Hollywood mold of story telling and there is some great attention paid to homo love making in the way other films do straight sex / lovemaking scenes. The made on a budget style of filming made it even more endearing, except for dodgy edits and cut-to's that made no sense at all and were actually irritating. There is an old woman in it that really makes the film, and lots of believable realtionship stuff. Twinks are not really my thing but hell i was hanging out to see Jared get plowed - who wasn't?

Steve S (us) wrote: *** (out of four) Amusing and amiable little romantic comedy that shows a slightly different side to John Belushi. Belushi is a big city newspaper man who wouldn't know a campfire if he was standing in the center of it. He and falls for an attractive woman who loves and works in the outdoors. Their different interests and way of looking at things make them an offbeat couple. Not particularly memorable, but still a nice unassuming movie.
