Nicholas L (au) wrote: It's a pulse-pounding, riveting, and highly engaging modern account of a true event that moves past the action into a reflection on the tensions between the third world country and those of the first world.

Jim A (kr) wrote: A disgrass to the original cartoon series. The story is a mess and the villians in particular are incredibly stupid. It should be a guide on how not to do a Superman movie

Claire T (es) wrote: I really thought this was interesting and I would mind it on DVD, I thought it was a good movie, it was a good film and it was directed by William Arntz, Betsy Chasse, it starred Marlee Matlin and Dean Radin

Kevin M W (nl) wrote: Set in Ottawa, Canada, the title says it all really, and so the dance number interestingly comes as no surprise. Everything here is half baked, on purpose, and it loses steam in the second half. You will wonder how your mom and dad feel about what you are actually doing with the life provided you. Its that bad.

Amar K (ca) wrote: A film which is merciless, cold, pessimistic and about unequivocal realism. This is about making righteous choices within a closed system that is entirely malevolent, and hence that seem to make no difference at all. It is not a regular Holocaust movie which doesn't end with everyone dead, so that we can somehow be confident that life goes on. But such stories refuse the central fact that the irresistible mass of Holocaust victims vanished into the hole of evil. It is mainly about an eerie dilemma of living with the honor and be dead or living with shame and live "another kind" of death. Masterpiece indeed!

Richard C (gb) wrote: If it could decide if it wanted to be campy or serious it would be watchable.

Lee Anne W (mx) wrote: Ginger Rogers is fab, and it makes me swoon to see her dancing in those gowns. But Fred Astaire, while charming and debonair, lacks the meaty sex appeal that my preferred Gene Kelly has. The Three's Company-style mistaken identity plot is secondary to the singing and dancing. It's a cute enough movie, and there are way worse ways to pass an evening (most superhero movies come to mind), but it would never move to the top of my list in the 1930s comedy, musical, or romance category.
