Buitrago (Soria), 1976. Jorge arrives in search of his sister, Miranda, and the people of the area beware him about the evil nature of the place. In the same place, in 1310, the templars are the masters of life and death, killing virgins in an attempt to fulfil their eternal life purposes. In 1976 again, Jorge finds Miranda, but she seems to have lost her mind, and she finally runs away. A few days before, Miranda, in her house, is sexually harassed by her father and mistreated by her authoritarian mother, until she locks off in her room. Kyler H (es) wrote: Starbuck, the only version of Starbuck you should watch in my blatantly amateurish opinion. Be warned however, should you see this version (the original before Ken Scott remade his own work for English/American audiences) you will surely see the remade version, starring Vince Vaughn, only to leave the theatre sorely disappointed at the lack of originality and performances that make this version (the French Canadian version/original) so unique. I digress, Starbuck. A comedically alluring film that does play on subtle uses of Slapstick Comedy but chooses a route that reaches for the heart rather than the big laughs. There is a greater sense of character derived from the chemistry between Patrick Huard and his co-stars rather than just Patrick Huard. In turn I felt this aspect of shared screen time with various actors made his character, David Wozniak, that much more enjoyable to watch. In essence, Starbuck is indeed a situational comedy that establishes itself in short and sweet exposition as we embark on this comedic journey with code-name Starbuck. Beyond the horizon of this film, it is essentially about fatherhood and the illustrious importance of family which makes the pull on the heart strings that much more successful. It is an enjoyable and heart-warming film filled with laughs to experience and share. Enjoy!

cj o (nl) wrote: The acting isn't good anymore. The SFX were a lot better in the first. The story is bad. And the names they choose for the villains are still worse than the names with obvious origins in the Star Wars films.

Randy P (es) wrote: Well this has to be the most idiotic horror film to come from full moon. Was this even supposed to be scary? Awful... just Awful.

Russ B (br) wrote: 3/20/2015: I didn't find anything real good about this film. The acting was generally pretty bad and the story was long and mostly boring. The young cast has come a long way since this film.

Knox M (jp) wrote: Although it's kind of tedious and hard to say whether or not it's the best Brosnan film, GoldenEye can be thanked for relaunching the series after a six-year hiatus.

Bill B (nl) wrote: This was one of those oddball films that had somehow eluded me even back in the VHS days, so I gave it a spin via Netfux Streaming and I have to say that it was as middling as most '90s horror tended to be.I'm certainly glad this wasn't a blind buy, or I would be full of buyer's remorse, as I have no clue what occasion I would have to re-watch this one.
