Alex r (mx) wrote: I've seen my fair share of documentary films, and I love this genre of film. So many great films have been chronicling important subjects, with Undisputed Truth, we get an awful documentary directed by Spike Lee, who is one of the worst directors and he has overstayed his welcome. Mike Tyson is a legend in his sport, but the way the subject is handled is a one sided opinion of himself because Mike Tyson is the only sharing his story. The best documentaries are the ones that show all the angles to the story, to give you an in depth look at the person and his stories past. The way Tyson narrates his life is quite disturbing, shocking and he says it in a way that tries to be funny, but it ends up failing miserably. Spike Lee can't craft a documentary, and he is a director that only stirs things up in the press because he can't seem to make quality films because he's played the race card over and over again to the point where it's a clich. I wanted to enjoy it, but couldn't because it was a one side story, and it really didn't go in depth to what Tyson has gone through from all angles. No one is interviewed, and it's only Mike Tyson in front of an audience talking, which may sound interesting, but it's really not. Undisputed Truth is a bland, lifeless documentary that ranks as one of the worst documentary films ever. Hopefully one day a more proper documentary will be filmed by a more competent, who tackles this subject in a way that it tries to be sensational, and it falls flat, because Tyson as he's saying his story, he makes disturbing aspects seem funny to get a life, and it fails. This documentary is poorly done, and you're better off watching a TV documentary on his life by people that knows him. This is tedious, pretentious filmmaking by a desperate director that tries to regain that momentum that he lost over a decade ago.

It was creative, funny, and entertaining. After that, a spin off came in, called "The suite life on deck" which, in my opinion, sucked. Sure, it has cool guest stars, and I liked that it parodied movies like 2001: A space odyssey and Paranormal Activity, but it's annoying, unfunny, and not entertaining. So, I decided to watch this movie, to see if they would bring back some factors from the old show. Well, it's better than the new show, but not as good as the old one. The plot is creative, but unrealistic, the acting, for the most part, sucks, and the comedy is O.K, but not on par with the old show. What I hate is the fact that no characters are likable. Cody is not funny, Zack is rude, Baileys annoying, London is rude and annoyingly dumb, and Woody is.... Woody. This movie has probably the worst plot hole I've ever seen, at the end *SPOILER* when the guy that controls the mind controlled twins gets arrested, and everyone leaves, happy, BUT WHAT ABOUT THE TWINS??? Even worse, that's the second last scene, and the last one is pointless anyway. *END OF SPOILER* It's not a horrible movie, but it's pretty bad. Unless you liked the new show, I wouldn't recommend this.

I did enjoy Mall Cop because when i saw it as a kid it brought a fun exciting plot that caught my attention. The supporting cast is OK but has some dumb characters like the banker and red head that don't do a very good job. As I watch it today it still has some elements of the plot to make me enjoy this film. Its an adventure that brings laughs and amusement that many kids will enjoy and find very amusing.

Also, the late Tony Scott deserves a pat on the back for being one of the few people who can direct a Tarantino script, besides himself.

But, despite the magnificence of the film, you can't ignore one suspicious plot hole: Dave could have said to his wife what he did and simply avoid that fatal excuse.
