Tony O (de) wrote: Entertaining and funny. Will make you laugh long after watching the movie with it campy depictions. Unless you are oblivious to the intentional campiness, you find the move amusing. Violence, special effects, dialogue, scene filming are so intentionally bad as it is intended to make you laugh and succeeding in doing so. .

Rebekah J (us) wrote: I thought it was really cute. A great kids movie, and some of the characters were really funny. Great movie.

kevin s (us) wrote: I personally think this is Troma's best movie. Yes, even better than the Toxic Avenger series. A weird mixture of camp, soft core porn, and the most over-the-top gore you've ever seen. It's not for the easily offended but if you have a hard stomach...check it out.

Hunter D (ru) wrote: MAKING THE GRADE is a really lame high-concept comedy that was shot at Rhodes College (my alma mater) back in 1985 before Memphis even had a film commission. The production design in this movie is atrocious, filled with cheap sets that shake whenever something bumps against a wall. It's easy to see why Rhodes was so pissed over this movie, the film makes the school look like a really cheap, crappy prep school. I know the film doesn't depict it as Rhodes (they call it Hoover Academy in the movie), but still, it makes the school look really lame. The movie is mostly laugh free, save for the scenes with Dana Olsen, who is actually pretty funny and saves the movie from being completely unwatchable (hence two stars instead of one). The end credits announce that the two main characters, Palmer (Dana Olsen) and Eddie (Judd Nelson, who sleepwalks through the role) will return in a movie called TOURISTA. We're still waiting on that one.

Kristin R (ru) wrote: A movie about how war affects us, this was truly heart-breaking but at the same time heartwarming. The faith and the strength of the characters in this film, is something to be admired. Great performances from all.

Sophia W (ca) wrote: Wow, what a wonderful movie! And Johanna plays her role very well!

Matthew W (it) wrote: Despite it's occasional over-reacting and sometimes obviously fake attacks (such as punching and pushing bodies over with feet). It is a very good movie with a certainly interesting and unique concept and plot (at the time of production) that will leave you on the edge of your seat.

Tyler S (nl) wrote: A remake of the surperior 1966 version, the cast here is decent but the overacting is plentiful. It tries to hard to take different sterotypes, stick em together and make it work. All to predictable of course and the cheesy dialogue doesn't help.Effects are decent but it's an average film overall.plane goes down, people fight to rebuild plane, egos collide, they come together, they succeed.A success story we have seen all too many times.
