The beautiful princess Giselle is banished by an evil queen from her magical, musical animated land and finds herself in the gritty reality of the streets of modern-day Manhattan. Shocked by this strange new environment that doesn't operate on a "happily ever after" basis, Giselle is now adrift in a chaotic world badly in need of enchantment. But when Giselle begins to fall in love with a charmingly flawed divorce lawyer who has come to her aid - even though she is already promised to a perfect fairy tale prince back home - she has to wonder: Can a storybook view of romance survive in the real world?

Concettualmente vecchio.

Frances H (mx) wrote: Excellent film telling the story of the atmosphere of Versailles in the beginning of the French Revolution from the point of view of one of Marie-Antionette's servants. Engrossing drama, extremely well-acted. A must see for anyone who loves this period of history.

Adam M (ca) wrote: This is a lovely, relatable movie. A must watch!

Rahul S (jp) wrote: The direction is wayward, the one liners are hackneyed and the actors are sleepwalking through their roles. It was a potential laugh riot which went kaput.

Ant G (ca) wrote: I agree with other comments, the movie changes direction from a supernatural thriller to a psychological thriller with no clear direction in each.If you wish to see a movie which takes this theme in a better direction then see 'nos mirran' they watch. Similar theme bit stronger tones. It's a pity as there's a lot of strong material here but poorly put together. What let's it down is no real connection to the characters or purpose which ought to have been eluded to. What it did do well is cast suspicion at other characters but only as the plot wasn't clever enough in execution, not as it was clever per se as a cult movie. Michael Biehn was by far the strongest and most convincing, the other characters were really weak. I've marked it poorly as it was confusing in a bad direction, poor casting sense. I'd rent out The Devil's Backbone, or Shutter Island if you want something on a better scripted, but confusing yet can draw own conclusion sense!

George B (de) wrote: Not even barely good at all and a waste of a good cast. But there's an interesting fact that Colleen Atwood was the costume designer. (What was she thinking?) Guys, it's actually adapted from a Norwegian movie. Interested?

John D (kr) wrote: aka Zombie Flesheaters 2 in the uk, this movie features about 40 minutes of Lucio Fulci's direction, with his co-directors taking over due to his illness. The movie is truly awful in the best way and features over-acting that would even make Jim Carey cringe.

Alberto S (jp) wrote: Unfortunately underestimated movie.

John A (kr) wrote: A bad plot, bad acting & some entertaining action sequences made Michael Duidkoff a cult action icon of the 80's, this was also the start of one of The Cannon Group's most successful film series. Its just b-movie goodness with somewhat better than horrible performances & enjoyable action sequences.

Corey P (kr) wrote: I don't see anything good about this movie only the main antagonist is interesting to watch. The movie is generic shouldn't be talked about period.

Suan W (ru) wrote: This is the most horrible movie I think I've seen despite the fact that they got Kevin Costner and Demi Moore to act in it. Costner's performance was on and off, and Demi seemed like she'd rather have been anywhere else. The story line is creepy to begin with, and it's presentation is confusing and meanders A LOT! The creators seemed like they couldn't figure out how much they wanted to reveal, and kept changing their mind as they went along. There was only implied violence, and then when they finally decided to show the audience some, it was more extreme than necessary, especially when they hadn't shown any so far. As far as thrillers go, this was just unsettling and certainly not worth it.
