Christopher K (ru) wrote: Aside from Gackt, who I will refer to now as the man(?) with only one name and ambiguous sexuality this movie surprised me. Once I got past the initial choppiness of the plot line, which did tighten up at the halfway point it was pleasantly enjoyable. I would actually go so far as to say I would watch it again.

Sam C (br) wrote: Another decent Tsukamoto-fest, Vital seems to hit all the marks you become used to in a Tsukamoto film, but hits a few bumps along the way. All that aside the cinematography is stunning, and if Werner Herzog was talking about the atmosphere here instead of talking to his son in Julien-Donkey Boy then "moody brooding" would fit nicely.Vital tells the tale of a young man who suffers amnesia after being injured in a car crash. In the process his girlfriend dies, but he has no recollection of this. He starts his life back up by living in an apartment and continuing his studies in the medical field. All seems to be going well: he is the top of the class and has even caught the eye of an infatuated young girl. However, things start to come back to him when he soon realizes that the cadaver he is dissecting for class is the body of his dead lover.Shinya Tsukamoto always uses the strong theme of humanity and civilization, and while our main man is walking amidst all the towering buildings, he soon starts to find himself once all that is away, especially in the scenes on the beach or the forest. It's a good viewing for fans of Asian cinema, but a step down from a Snake of June, but Tsukamoto fans will enjoy it.

She's smokin hot & I don't want to watch Blown Away again to see the goods. Bronson is a tough son of a bitch cop who uses a dildo on one of his suspects (like I said a lot is implied but still..pretty fucking ruthless) & makes another swallow a gold watch. Bronson isn't taking any shit while he cleans up the scum. This gets muddled down w/ a subplot of Bronson's daughter being molested (it's slight & really nothing) on a subway but it just enrages Bronson so much he won't deal w/ Asians. Not one of Bronson's best but for fans of his who like trash might as well complete the catalog

John S (fr) wrote: If you thought The Wolf Man was a little far fetched... I thought the focus of the movie was on the annoying old ladies in the bar for way too long, but being the first Universal werewolf movie it's not bad at all. It's just nothing special. If you're into the old Universal monster movies, get this in the Wolf Man Legacy Collection.
