Legends like Muddy Waters, Little Walter, Howlin' Wolf, Etta James, and Chuck Berry are handled very well and with a lot of love. This is highly fictionalized though. Not a very accurate portrayal, but it does serve as a nice introduction to the roots of American popular music.

The villain of the first returns as another villain and his story and portrayal are haunting adding something to make this one different from the others. A good watch and a great movie though it of course must bow to its superior sequel.
