(br) wrote: It's advertised as "the scariest movie of the year". It should be advertised as "the worst movie of all time". Something for the Mystery Science Theatre movie piles.

(de) wrote: This documentary presents the facts as they are: Darwinists and the people who support them financially want this nation to be another Hitler's Germany. Watch this show and see it for what it really investigates: not that there is a God, but that those who don't believe in a creator and only exist as humanists really only want a supreme race; that is what evolutionists desire at the heart of it all. It is offensive that atheist evolutionists actually accuse believers in a higher cause of life as being ignorant. Last thing, if the supreme race of aliens seeded this earth, who made them or why were they formed? What started their existence and why? Not a really good theory, dear atheist evolutionists...
(ru) wrote: I don't particularly care for loose-end-endings in which there are certain plotlines left with no resolutions. That is my only qualm with this gem... it was a very important piece of art about the agony of infertility, the clashing of very different cultures but also the similarities between them, and about the love of family.

(us) wrote: A favourite from my early teens which i just caught again on TCM. Often very funny, especially Dillon and Geoffreys (as a chronic masturbator) but it's Wallace Shawn's 'Lust' speech that is most memorable. Check out Kevin Dillon and Patrick Dempsey before they hit the big time in 'Entourage' and 'Grey's Anatomy' respectively.

(ca) wrote: Visually, extremely appealing - I would have loved it if it was presented as a photo-montage. However, the slow theatrics were too painstaking. There was too much symbolism, and not having come across the life story of Sayat Nova, I was not able to decipher much from the movie. It is ironical that Sayat Nova, the troubadour's tale be hidden behind silence and symbols.
(mx) wrote: Solid story characterization and plotting. This is how it's done folks.
(nl) wrote: While the majority of this film is bordering on classic sci-fi territory, the last quarter or so of this film almost completely derails it.
