Krishna-Radha story gets us pondering and questioning the way we ourselves perceive Love & Sex in India! The movie is a question to Indians who've lost something that they themselves created! It spills on to the contradictions in India related to love and sex. Q takes us to the chaos and conflicts between suppressed moral values and the timeless tradition of spiritual sexuality. The film does succeed in digging the long lost roots of romance and love in India.Q likes to take the boldest way towards being a rebel! A good watch. Will leave you thinking hard!

The film quality was good, there were some funny moments, my boy enjoyed it quite a bit (8 years old - another surprise), and I loved the way Herbie looked with the wide tires and moon caps. Cool car. Probably a little better than my 2.5 stars but just can't give it 3.

Roman Polanski does an incredible job of capturing the corruption of LA through satire but is equally disturbing when necessary. Probably the biggest aspect and something that's hard to see a lot nowadays is how all parts of production work together to bring a brilliant film. Polanski's work never stands out over Nicholson work which never stands above the great script by Robert Towne but when they all come together it becomes great filmmaking. And so as a result it stands as one the best films of Hollywood. A must watch if you want to see some quality old timers.

Maxwell S (fr) wrote: Any adjective you've ever used about any film, has it's own sub-meaning in a Godard films. "Banda a part" and "A Bout de Souffle" cover the same ground, but instead of the intense meaty brilliance and taste of "Breathless", "Banda a part" fills it with whatever Breathless couldn't, and it worked itself perfectly into a film to which I consider a masterpiece. Though the stories vary extremely, and as do the tones of the films. Jean-Luc Godard, cinema's greatest delight.
