Kc F (au) wrote: not bad. it's not really as scary and it did start out kinda like i know what you did last summer but it did save itself by turning from some stupid slasher movie into a psychological thriller.mainly watched it for katie mcgrath though XD

Damian N (au) wrote: not much of a horror film, but it was one of them i had to watch to the end just to see what happens, the second half of the film is a lot better than the first as well!

Sean S (kr) wrote: Smart, knowing and adept at telling its often aspirational source material, while Biloxi Blues isn't set to become a classic or necessarily accurate portrayal of United States Army training 24 years after its making, what it does it does well; however, World War II ends before the awkward but witty Jewish 20-year-old Eugene Morris Jerome (Matthew Broderick) can be shipped off to fight. His experiences with his fellow soldiers are the best thing about the movie, and his activities in his down-time, such as losing his virginity or getting a girlfriend, are touching and never played with comedic insensitivity.

Valerie P (gb) wrote: It took me awhile to locate this film on Rotten Tomatoes, as I watched it on Sky cable as Deception, but it seems known elsewhere as The Best Offer. I believe that the former title suits it more. I was riveted to this movie. A lonely, aging antiques dealer blooms in the light of an unusual romance. Claire is a recluse with many high-priced pieces to sell from her late father's estate. As Claire reveals more and more of herself to her unlikely suitor, the successful, yet solitary man, faces complete transformation. Geoffrey Rush is a fine actor, and he carries much of this film's pulse upon his shoulders. He is especially talented when it comes to submersing himself in a role. For me, he quickly ceased to be Geoffrey Rush and wholly became Mr. Oldman. The plotline, while at first intriguing, quickly found its way to predictability. Still, I remained immersed in the story and must express my complete devastation at the ending. I guess I'm always the type to hold out for some hint of silver lining, but I advise you come to this film in preparation for torrential downpours only.
