Ninjaw P (nl) wrote: Un peu statique, mais le scenario, les paysages, l'aventure et pas mal de comediens sont excellent, a la hauteur de la bd comme le premier.
Santosh N (mx) wrote: Vinay Pathak has lived the role and comes out brilliant in the emotional scenes (like he always does). I really didn't know whether to laugh or cry because the movie has both comedy and sadness in it. The movie makes you think about how short life really is and that gives you a new perspective.

Ahmed M (nl) wrote: The film was okay but I couldn't "get into the movie" felt bored at times, but it was an okay movie in the end.
SUDEEP k (es) wrote: another excellent acting from Naseeriddin Shah(100/10 except that eye closing scene sitting in theater). Sarika at her best. perfection 'ldnot be developed and Sarika's perfect here. another good movie.
Lee M (gb) wrote: This downbeat indie drama gives the leads a few excellent scenes together, and they acquit themselves credibly. But there's also a fair amount of wilted comedy from the stock supporting characters.

Amy P (nl) wrote: I would just like to point out that the 'movie info' provided isn't correct.......Grandpa returns to Japan to present the sacred dagger to the winner of the same tournament that he won it in during his youth. His opponent in that tournament from years before makes multiple attempts to steal the dagger before it can be passed on to the next winner. Grandpa unintentionally leaves the dagger behind, and the boys take it to him. The next tournament winner is Miyo, and she decides to help the boys save their grandpa. It has been many years since I have seen this typical mid 90's ninja movie (which there were many family friendly bad ninja movies in the 90's), but at least I remember the main plot correctly.
Jason P (kr) wrote: Not incredible, but definately enjoyable. Although I tend to prefer Kurosawa movies, this was a cool departure. The plot was excellent and complex, and the actors and actresses were great. I especially liked the character of Hama, who could be a straight up brawler sometimes and a cool, laid-back, humorous character at other times. It's kind of frustrating that the ending was left to be continued, but hopefully the other movies can help clear up some plot questions left at the end.
Private U (it) wrote: This movie is to the summer camp movie genre of the 80s what Altamont was to the sixties. While the setting might be 'Meatballs,' the plot is pure 'Animal Farm'/'Lord of the Flies.' And while the quality is atrocious, the acting poor, and the budget low, this movie does have a charm of pacing -- it is chronically interesting to watch. Not a good movie, but a diamond in the rough for what it is: a movie which transcends the 80s stereotypes in which it is steeped. Nothing pleases me more than a movie that is better than it should be; this is one of those movies. However, good luck tracking down a copy. I watched it on Youtube.
James H (it) wrote: 68/100. Director Peter Bogdonovich didn't have much of a budget to work with and does an excellent job creating a believable and gritty atmosphere. Very well acted, especially by Ben Gazzara, one of the best roles of his career. His performance is thoughtful and subtle. Very well done, interesting story.
Sandy R (au) wrote: John Cassavetes is great in this solid gangster flick featuring an all-star European cast.
Anna B (br) wrote: It's preachy and a little sentimental, and as with most of his non-action films Kurosawa relies very heavily on expositional dialogue (three hours of almost constant foreign-language dialogue will wear on anybody's powers of concentration) but he got his hooks in me eventually, and Otoyo's character arc got me pretty hard a few times. It's interesting how episodic this is; I suspect Kurosawa would have taken to modern cable television drama storytelling techniques with great gusto.
Cesar F (es) wrote: This one is actually one of the worst from Horror Master James Wan. It may be liked by fans of the genre as well as diehard Wan fans, but the casual viewer of scary movies may be a bit disappointed.
Jason C (ag) wrote: Brosnan's charisma and earnest performance just about compensate for a patchy plot - there's simply not enough let up in the pace to worry too much about how ludicrous the whole set-up is. Enjoyable, if insubstantial.
Alex r (nl) wrote: Last year, the remake of the action popcorn cult hit Red Dawn hit theatres, and was disappointing to say the least. The idea of a teen militia fighting an enemy is nothing new, but when it's done right, you can pull off a well crafted film with a cast that can actually act. Although the Red Dawn remake was disappointing, I found it to be a decent film with mindless entertainment value. However with that being said, it was a highly forgettable film. Tomorrow When the War Began on the other hand is a similar film, but it is a better executed movie that has a good cast and a better plot. The film is packed with action and drama and it is a standout film that is sure to please viewers that were let down by the Red Dawn remake. This film has a better cast and a much better script, which makes this a necessity to watch for viewers looking for the perfect entertainment. The film is not perfect, but for the most part, it more than delivers its fair share of thrills. Plus on the other hand, the film is well structured with good characters and a very good plot, better than the Red Dawn remake anyway. I really enjoyed the film, and thought it was a well crafted picture worth checking out. If you love these types of films, don't hesitate to seek this one out, you'll be glad you did. The film could have used a bit more polishing in some areas, but for the most part; it succeeds at being a good film that will highly entertain you from start to finish.
