Matthew McConaughey is shirtless for over 90% of this movie and that is only one small aspect of why this film is such a disastrous masterpiece.
Gabriele B (jp) wrote: The very first persian movie I saw. Great performances from the leading actors made the movie an intense experience, with strong social content.

Dann M (br) wrote: Robert Duvall leads the cast in the rather pointless and disappointing western A Night in Old Mexico. After losing his Texas ranch Red Bovie heads for Mexico for a wild night of debauchery and takes his estranged grandson in tow. The acting is poor, and even Duvall doesn't put forth much effort. The writing is also quite bad; as the plot is all over the place and the characters aren't very interesting. The film tries to come through with a message about family and honor, but it isn't told very well. Unfortunately, A Night in Old Mexico isn't able to find a clear focus and ends up being a jumbled mess that doesn't work.
Leah K (es) wrote: Legitimately the worst movie i've ever seen in my entire life. The director put in a very transparent effort to make the movie modern, for example the Metallica-like "rock star" following them into battle. Half of the movie was completely laughable. Very much an unintentional comedy. Some of the details, like the silver spray paint they spray into their mouths before a mission, just completely don't make any sense. The entire movie was just one big pointless chase, without any context. So incredibly stupid.

Lesley N (es) wrote: You've gotta love the lunk, another fight show with a big heart, one-man show as Stallone wrote, directed, acted, and sang the theme song in his first followup to Rocky. This time the story's based around three Italian brothers and their attempts to make money out of the youngest's wrestling ability. With Terry Funk (champion westler, see Beyond The Mat for more details) and Tom Waits in his film debut as the piano-playing Mumbles...so no typecasting there then. Surprisingly enjoyable, especially If you like 70's films in general, Rocky in particular or wrestling in the rain.
Niklas S (es) wrote: I can see the charm that sourounds this movie but I don't know if I'm totally sold on it. I love the vigilante genre and you would think that this would be the ultimate one considering the title. I think we should dub "Man on Fire" as the king of this genre.
