Based on Thomas Hardy's 19th century novel, Bathsheba Everdene is a willful, passionate girl who is never satisfied with anything less than a man's complete and helpless adoration. And she captures the lives and loves of three very different men: Gabriel Oak, a sheep farmer who is captivated by her beauty and proposes marriage; William Boldwood, a prosperous man in his early forties and a confirmed bachelor; and Sergeant Frank Troy, a handsome, reckless swordsman given to sudden fits of violence. . Little B (kr) wrote: A groundbreaking movie about organized crime that describes with an extreme realism the various activities of the modern Camorra. The staging and actor's credibility are perfect, the movie also keeps an objective point of view by not adding any moral to what is already inherent in the reality of the facts: the gangster's life is hard and often short.

Its amazing to see Hugh Grant in a film not related to Richard Curtis, But this is probobly the most charming film Hugh Grant as he lives the sweet life but without love, until future Xmen star joins into Hugh's life trying to make his mother happy, through this Hugh realizes how much life and love is important so he has to use it wisely, full of charm and comic characters, this film is a nice watch on a dull Sunday afternoon. charming, funny and meaningful. such a great feel good film and i enjoyed it completely.
Simon T (au) wrote: The tone of John Boorman's acclaimed drama is extraordinary: at once elegiac and gently satirical while ratcheting up the very real desperation of the quartet of middle-aged city types whose river trip is soon ambushed by the hicks they've been too quick to patronise. With a notable soundtrack of duelling banjos and woodland birds, this still ranks - along with Point Blank and Hope and Glory - as Boorman's masterpiece. A poem, a thriller, an existential meditation - unique.
Kasey C (es) wrote: Mad Dog and Glory. Two of the best screen legends sharing a movie together. Loved that De Niro and Murray were the stars alongside Uma Thurman. Very very entertaining movie. Just one of those run-of-the-mill 90s movies where you go along for the ride but its not really that great of a movie, fun to watch and formulaic but a good filler movie and Murray has a totally different role as a gangster which is fun to watch. Also needs to be stated that uma thurman is absolutely stacked, unbelievable tits. Not a bad movie at all and kind of an unrealistic concept but who cares just incredibly watchable, 5.5 or 6/10 maybe even 6.5
