The movie is one of those horror B movies that is nothing more than awful. Just given the fact that the 35 year old ex-Backstreet Boy Nick Carter stars in the film sinks it even before you sit down to watch it. Basically, it's one of these TV scream movies that takes the old cooler and better legend/story of some other greater film and applies it to modern times. This time the Legend of Sleepy Hollow takes it in the rump from this director and the legend is applied to our modern day and age. The costumes and effects suck, the gore makes you want to throw up in a non-grotesque way, and the acting is just so lame that they actually seem like retarded high schoolers. Everything about this film is terrible, plain and simple, the film is a retarded piece of junk that should never see anyone elses DVD player EVER! I actually hate myself a little bit for putting up with watching the whole thing...thank god it was only an hour and twenty minutes long.

Ben R (fr) wrote: very unusual, not wholly original either, shades of david brent, curb your enthusiasm etc. etc. not much happens in this film but the story is still quite intriguing.

Davis M (kr) wrote: I had to turn it off. I felt like I was getting sucked into a honda commercial because of all the target trendiness. I'm sure there's some decent jokes in this hip kid comedy, but I couldn't get over the cheese.

Alec B (de) wrote: I initially dismissed this as pretentious tripe, watching "Birth" again softened my view considerably and I rather like it. Still pretentious, but I have a better sense of what Glazer is trying to say about the American aristocracy (that they are shallow, empty morons) and that the film is less of a mystery centered on the possibility that this boy is the reincarnated soul of the dead husband, and more about how we assign identity . . . both to ourselves and to others. This might also be Kidman's best performance.

Jennifer X (ca) wrote: There is so much to be said about this documentary, but mostly I'm impressed by how frustrated, emotionally charged, exhausted, upset, and downright angry it could make me. Proof that decisions, no matter how logical they might seem, are always up for contention.

Matt H (mx) wrote: Has a larger sexual element than most of Eastwood's work (besides The Beguiled). Nothing highly memorable on display here, but a solid crime thriller nonetheless.

Jim H (de) wrote: Without a doubt, one of the most prescient movies I've seen. Considering that it was made in the midst of the Cold War and it concerns oil crises and war in the Middle East, it is truly ahead of its times and right in the middle of ours. The performances are adequately hokey for the genre of satire, but too over-the-top for my taste ... esp. the opening voice over. Good social criticism, worth the time.
