Eddie S (jp) wrote: Gotta love it. Murray and Jeff Wright set up the Johnston character's avoidance of emotion. You'd think he is simply "flat." He has gotten there with a lot of work. "Look for clues. Like a typewriter. Like something pink." One can do worse where life is not all that available.Naked Lolita gets it Five Stars. The little life-force intrusions come in like violins in Mozart. And Murray does regret like nobody else.

John W (gb) wrote: Ehhh, I love the first film. But this is just...uh. Don't get me wrong, I think this does have its merits. Just not enough to save it nor make it a proper follow up to Disney's first HUNCHBACK film. Jennifer Love Hewitt's character and performance as Madelline is sweet (the film's main saving grace), and there was an interesting idea with the villain (though not terribly well executed, and definitely no Frollo). But the animation and music just aren't up to snuff, there are way too many gaps in logic when it comes to Sarouch's magic (seriously, how the hell did he get that bell out of the cathedral with a magic trick!), and tries way too hard to nail in the "It's what's underneath that counts" message to the point where you'll find yourself shouting at the screen "I get it, move on!"
