Amy Adams has never been sexier though!

(br) wrote: I loved this movie with great Quebec actors in it! Very disturbing and bit gorry, so if you don't like that stuff, I suggest you don't rent it. If you enjoyed this movie, I suggest reading the book or any book from the author Patrick Sncal.
(kr) wrote: You know there are some films that you just don't manage to see for ages and then when you do you wish you'd seen it sooner??? Yeah that happened with me and the Bourne Identity. With this, I wish I'd still not seen it. Probably in my top 5 worst films I've seen this year. Corny, pointless, boring, un-entertaining and a waste of time. Avoid. (BTW - I've given it a star as Meg Ryan is in it, but its a bad role for her, So just one star.)

(gb) wrote: In this movie a set of muscle bound twins (David & Peter Paul, who are bodybuilders but were never in the World Wrestling Federation as incorrectly stated in the description above) are in the right place at the right time and prevent a wealthy man, Frank, from being murdered. Frank, wanted by crime bosses for wishing to cease operations with them, has custody of twin nephews who recently lost their parents. Frank decides to hire the twins to take care of his twins. The movie was released in the mid 90's but screams cheesy 80's movie--from the hairstyles, to the clothing, to the cheesy songs many of which were composed by the Paul twins themselves. Even the background score felt like it was plucked out of an 80's drama like "The A-Team" or "Knight Rider" The dialogue was cheesy, with lines like "Sorry for being a chowder head," and the slapstick comedy was cheesy, with various twins sprinkled throughout the movie. With that being said, if taken at face value, for a cheesy 80's movie that was released a decade too late, it was somewhat entertaining.

I will admit right out the gate, the first reason I thought of this was Austin Powers, "I think I'm going to watch a moovie, In Like Flint, my favorite!" So basically curiosity got me, and it really wasn't all that bad. I was a bit thrown with all the gadgets and spy stuff in the beginning with no intro story. Sure 007 does it, but we know who we are going to see. This was different, Flint was a mix of 007, Q and Aquaman. That's right, a scientific spy that talks to marine life! The plot was pretty good, with a slight twist of the enemy. Feminism is front and center as a plot point. So is the space race and kung fu. A bit cheesy for today, but it fit when this was made. Flint probably would not be able to take 007 in any of his forms. This one is all in the eye of the beholder (viewer).

(jp) wrote: The few great CGI scenes don't do enough to overshadow poor writing, worse acting, and other, phony graphics. A complete miss.
(fr) wrote: Great acting by Hillary Swank and Tommy Lee Jones. One of the few frontiersman movies with an overland journey in the plot that I have seen lately.
