Vyen C (nl) wrote: Not bad of a football movie! I actually learned something 'bout the game y'know. The storyline's great, it tells the correct moral values... (no offence, Tommy Baker) That a good quarterback could lead a not-so-good team. As for my dear George, he's adorable, and his acting was so good that I could actually find him annoying (not really ha, no). Let's face it, Tommy Baker was an ass. And I couldn't believe that I was actually happy that he got kicked out of the back. George's great as a villain, who knew? So George, nice touchdown. (I hope for a psychopath serial killer next time.)
abc d (nl) wrote: Ugh, what a mess. The script bounces you around from plot point to plot point like a pinball machine, with utter disregard for pacing and drama, as if simply trying to cover a checklist of required events. The acting is dry and stiff. And the singing, oh, the singing... There are better ways to get across the religious nature of the voyage, or the era, without resorting to overly long hymn interludes.

David L (it) wrote: THX 1138 has a fascinating subject matter and premise with some unique visuals, but it is unfortunately executed poorly with weak plot, slow pacing and very weak character development. It is definitely original and interesting, but it is never as smart as it should have been and it is also too boring and way too cold to be enjoyed more.

James H (au) wrote: Atmospheric thriller, well enough acted. Good cinematography and score. Impressive special effects create a genuine eeriness. It is a bit too slow at times, but overall I enjoyed it. Directed by Bernard Vorhaus.
